Man in the Mirror drunk driving PSA

Just saw this on the NBC nightly news from yesterday. A bar in Los Angeles shows prerecorded messages from people serving prison time from drunk driving charges. I hope this catches on as I think it would be highly effective. It might have made me think twice about driving when I shouldn't have been. I consider myself extremely lucky that I was never caught, or killed or maimed someone.

aihfl- along the same lines, here is something else that I stumbled on just the other day: The State of Florida Inmate Locator service. If you put in "vehicular manslaughter" (if I remember right) it will deliver a long list of the names and pictures of all inmates who are serving time for drunk driving where they managed to kill someone. Many of these poor drunks are serving 10-20 years for a drunken driving accident that they probably had during a blackout. If you search the inmate's name on Google you'll usually find the old news story that reports the deadly accident and arrest.

What a nightmare! I had no idea- 10-20 years or more for something they never meant to happen and that they can't even remember happening.

It's enough to keep you sober.
