Morning army change in weather here today. It just stopped raining but its mild and overcast and the forecast for today.. As far as i know the libaries never opened sundays here but our local one only opens alternative fridays and saturdays and tuesday and thursday are 2 to 8pm. The rest of the days are 10 till 5. There has been cutbacks over the years here. Some lovely moongates on the link no chance og me getting one done unless i come in to money and find a talented person to do it. Nice to look at. Is this your first visit to Jenny's new house?

      Hello Army!!

Dropping in for a quick Hi! between chores and e-mails. Then I'm off to be creative with some picture frames and old bits and baubles. Want to make something for the walls in the "spare bedroom" which doubles as my "office".

Would love to be able to have a mood gate in our garden. We have lots and lots of room but we live in an apartment building and all the residents/owners would have to agree and agree to share the cost, so it's not gonna happen. So far Mr. Stirly and I have been, with the exception of one other owner, the only ones who have bought and planted trees and flowers. No one else seems to care, which is a shame. We actually have a large enough back yard to have a large swimming pool and still lots of garden/lawn area for lawn furniture, loungers, a gazebo or whatever we would like to put there. Or a pond, with a bridge, moon gate, sitting areas, whatever. It's a shame, really that no one seems interested in doing anything with the space. It could be made into a small paradise if the other owners were interested. Oh well, I'll just hang sit out on the grass in my lawn chair with my iced coffee and soak up the sun.:radiate::flowerspop::goodgirl:

Hope you're all enjoying your day!!

Good evening all, weather has returned to winter here in Derbyshire, as for the library, I'm ashamed to say I rarely set foot in it :eek-new:

Spidy, Hope the interview went ok today, report back one way or another!
Thanks Mary, the interview itself went OK but there was a very basic maths (and English but that was OK) test, I spent the first 15 minutes sitting frozen thinking "oh shit" then the next 5 attempting to do both parts of the test and consequently made a complete dog's breakfast of the lot!

        I will know tomorrow ...

          Evening lovelies,
We thought it might only be our local libraries but there's quite a few...........even the big city library has cut its hours.............so much for all the fecking bigwigs banging on about education and everyone having access to computers and the internet.............in fact I'm still a very cross. Not often I do this but going to write to our local councillor.

Other than that a busy, busy day. We'll sit back and wait for our cuts.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Morning army and belated happy birthday Mary i hope u had a gud day. No sun here this morning its raining again and grey skies feels cool but i think its the damp. What type of flooring are you getting Jc? I have laminate wood and tiles now. Its better with cats and easier to keep clean. Off to visit a friend this morning not too far off but i'm getting a lift sop three of us meeting at her home for coffee and scones. Look forward to the chat and going some where differant. She lives in a small apartment in Stillorgan South Co. Dublin. Have a good day be back later.

Morning Army - back from my travels.
It rained of course - but hey it's too beautiful a place to complain.

We went for a long walk yesterday and in a tiny cove we met a group of special needs kids and their teachers from Dublin - then we were introduced to Aidan - a local with a sailboat who is mates with Fungi the resident but still wild dolphin. He said Fungi tolerates the bigger boats, goes along with them but doesn't like them
He was there just to help the kids meet Fungi at quiet time in the bay.

He let us go out for a while with him - the kids were snorkeling and jumping on the boat - I was s*itting it as they were big rowdy lads :haha:
Fungi came to play. This is an old u tube clip he is there 32 years now. I'll try post a photo later.

It was UNREAL................. the teacher said the interaction with the dolphin is so therapeutic they come 6 times a year and Aidan looks after them. Magical.
