Hello Ladies and KTAB if you're around!

Love the Moon Gates. The stone ones are built with a technique that has been around for hundreds of years. Very popular here in Greece - lots of old/ancient stone bridges and door and window frames were built with basically the same style. If you look closely at the stone ones, you'll see that the stones - especially the ones in the top of the arc, are a slightly wedged shaped with the smaller end pointing inwards. That way, the bridge or doorway will never fall in since all the stones are basically wedged in place. I imagine the technique has been used for centuries world-wide, I just found it very clever indeed. Okay, history lesson over for today.

Weather lovely here today. Had an e-mail from a supplier of ours in Scotland saying that they had temps of 25C in parts of the country - where he was in the south was a slightly milder 22C. Warmer than Greece!!

So will that be Mr. JC's project for this Spring - ready in time for Summer? And does he know it yet?

Seriously - I love the one with the metal frame and the logs in the link KTAB posted. Would be a snap to make - just order the metal rings in the right size and fasten the logs to them. Have it in front of little pond with a wee bridge over it and your new lawn furniture on patio tiles on the other side. Use more cut-off logs set into the ground to outline the area where the furniture is. Tell Mr. JC I think he could do it in just a couple of weekends.

That would be Summer 2026 you're talking about

The S&H and his GF should be in their new house by the end of the month so he's itching to get in their garden and I wouldn't mind the 8 squillion seedlings out of the conservatory before then either.

Gotta disappear for a bit...........so I'll say night night now, love.

                          Evening..
Very exciting about the new house JC.. will you have empty next syndrome now? They are not far though, I think you mentioned.

So, nothing much here. We finally have some class of a government in the last few days, not sure what it is really, should be interesting, or not, to watch.

Night Stirly, Jc and any more late night visitors.

                            Good morning.

Will I have empty nest syndrome................a big fat no.
Jenny went away to Uni 11 years ago (11 years !!!!) and has only been home for holidays and when she graduated a few months until she went flat sharing............she's a very welcome visitor now.

And the son & heir he's been in and out since he went to Uni and started his job.............couple of times he's had to get digs..........have to say when he first went to work away I bawled my eyes out but the last 3 years has lived at home...........he'll be gagging to get away.

As long as I know they're safe and happy (most of the time) that'll be good enough for me.
