Well good evening all.. It's Friday, just back from the shop. Read somewhere recently that we visit the supermarket on average 5.25 times per week. I was surprised that people shop this much until I realised that I'm probably not far off that.. I often don't get time to do the 'big' shop, lots of half shops or quarter shops.
Of course when I was drinking, it was daily shops, cos I couldn't be buying more that 2 bottles of wine at a time!
Satz.. That place looks heavenly - I think you did post it one day. Are the rest of them on the lash every night?? You are very brave.
I wonder how NS got on with her weekend away..AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:

Thanks for asking, Mary
The weekend was good in many ways. Friday night, I went to bed shortly after dinner at 10. The others were up until about 12 or 1. I was up at 6, ready for the day. Luckily there was a nice dog to hang around with because they weren't stirring until 10:30 or 11. They had coffee and ibuprofen for breakfast... We spent the day walking around the city and went out for a really nice dinner which featured cocktails and a really expensive bottle of wine. I was glad not to be part of that for a couple reasons!
I don't want to drink at all and it isn't tempting to be around it. My boredom is the problem. I really am not a super-social party person and I think having a couple drinks in the past really did help with that. Going to bed and not having to be bored Fri night worked - I was glad we weren't out on the town where I couldn't have made that choice. The dinner Sat pm was unique and really good so boredom wasn't an issue. Luckily for me, they all were too tired to go out after dinner (thanks to the previous night's excesses) so it wasn't a late night. Having the option not to be part of the group all the time (for 48 hours) really made a difference.
I planted tomatoes, several types of basil, and a variety of peppers today - I sure hope cold weather doesn't return! It has been a weird and frustrating spring around here.

Good morning and welcome home Sugarbabe.
Glad you enjoyed the majority of the weekend, love.
I was thinking about something the other day and I know I'm a terrible people pleaser...........although I'm not sure if that's a fault or not.
I haven't taken the quiz............I will and wondered if others would and we could share the results .

jacs ..all the class prawns go to marks n sparkx
have a grand day yizall
jacs did that quiz....oops!!
Your Score is: 74 to 116
Why did you take this quiz? You know you haven’t gotten into the habit of people pleasing. Whether you realize it or not, you make most of your decisions and live your life using your “intuition” or “gut feelings.” This allows you to achieve your dreams, worry very little, and have an easier, happier life.Last edited by Mick; May 14, 2016, 02:36 AM.af since the fourth of July 2012...howzat then America..now proudly marching into year 12

Morning Mick,
Haven't done mine yet...........frightened of the result maybe?
said prawns have gone off to work with the son and heir.........got them home yesterday and went right off the idea.
Done it now.........
Your Score is: 52 to 73
Without a doubt, there is an easier, more satisfying and happier way to live your life if you choose to tap into it. Instead of making decisions based on pleasing others, learn how to use your “intuition” or “gut feelings” on a situation-by-situation basis. It can free you from sacrifice, guilty feelings, tension, conflict and extra work.
Although I have no idea what it means.Last edited by JackieClaire; May 14, 2016, 02:49 AM.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Afternoon..
Interesting JC. Same score as Mick. Thought I was more of a people pleaser, but that's probably cos I like feeding people!! I think I am fair, do my bit for the school, community, friends, but so do other, so I don't feel like I'm being taken for granted.
NS, glad it went well.. I am reasonable sociable, but even when drinking, I got bored and had enough by 10. Part of that was wanting to go home and drink but I think i just get plain tired too. I'd yap at the school gate till the cows came home or wouldn't notice a couple of hours go by having coffee with friends, but at night there comes a point when my bed or book calls and Cant be arsed faking interest.Last edited by IamMary; May 14, 2016, 09:28 AM.AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:
