If all the groups are struggling a bit we could trial a United group- even do it for a week. It's not like we don't read each other's posts anyway from time to time. . I know it's comfortable here and there and lots of us would be way to shy to just rock into another group - safety in numbers maybe.
All we need is one good thread.

What incentive do the powers that be have? I doubt money is being made at this point and at least some money must be being spent. Because we can't seem to contact anyone in charge (I've tried), there's no way to help develop and contribute to a plan. Roberta Jewell's original mission is not really the focus of the site anymore - including for her, apparently. It would be great if we had the "real" MWO, where people with alcohol addiction problems are welcomed and then supported in one thread or another in whatever path they choose to take, easily found in a search using the obvious terms. Further, if new people do find MWO because of Roberta Jewell's original mission statement, I'm afraid they aren't going to find much of what they are looking for. I wish we could advertise what we've actually got going here because I think so many people could be helped. Until we have the support and input of the people with the power, however, I don't know how that could happen.

Evening, I was a bit wary of those questions this morning but they've sparked off a good old debate as when I went to bed last night I was thinking to myself how very sad I would be if MWO faded away........its brought me so much over the years. But I think its happening whether we want it to or not.

Another thing that crossed my mind are the like and thank you features. Its lovely to get them but back in the day you'd more than likely get a reply.

I think those buttons were the worst thing that could have happened on MWO! Totally cuts off conversation. I never look to see who likes or thanks for what as I read through. But back in the day, posts that were responded to and quoted really got my attention as being onto something good.
