Evening all!

My answer is now simply I don't drink alcohol because I don't want to. If I'm pressured and asked how long since I've had a drink I tell them the date 9 December 2012, and do I miss it? hell yes but I won't be touching the stuff again. I've yet to meet anybody who wants to take that discussion line any further

yo folks great convo re what reasons why you dont drink..hair flicking wouldnt work for me...nor the Shirley Temple thing!ha satzy...nope for me it would be something so that they would think what the f is this loony on about so unbelievable and yet they would think about it...summat along the lines of "some days do you get that feeling when you get a bit dizzy and faint?"Well they (the famous they)have discovered that alcohol contains a certain amount of iron in it...after continual use/misuse of booze ,your body absorbs some of that iron..very similar to rock formations..what happens then is your body will have an excess of iron content...that in turn will be affected by the magnetic pull of the earth,thats why sometimes you get dizzy unsteady on yer feet etc..have you heard the saying ..dont know which way to turn?thats where the saying comes from...its the earths magnetic pull on your body due to the ingestion of extra iron through increased alcohol consumption..

by the time they have heard that guff they will think not drinking is the LEAST of yer problems!!

Hi, Satz. It's only coming up to 8 a.m. here so that's my excuse. Congratulations on getting your job situation where you want it. I've seen some pretty ugly retirements among my friends so I don't think I'm quite ready for that yet. They've let their worlds get way too small now that they don't have the structure and stimulation of a job. I want to figure out my "next chapter" before I quit - one that is interesting and meaningful and makes me excited to get up each day. That's asking for a lot, isn't it ?
