Good morning, good morning, good morning and where for art thou, Stirly?
Up at the crack of dawn, been to pick up a prescription and the shops and then home again.
I am beyond excited for my brother and his partner getting wed tomorrow. I'm getting a new sister in law and one that I like this timeIt could be worse, I could be filing.

Morning.
Here comes the bride JC. Hope you've decided on the shoes!! What's the weather like?? Did you sleep well??
We are off to Galway tomorrow, 30th bday. When you all promised many months ago that 'it gets easier', you didn't lie. Do not want to get complacent, but definitely looking forward to occasions now and not white knuckling and frankly, faking it.
Still feel a bit square and boring, so have to choose the killer heels carefully. :happy2:
JC.. Have a fabulous day.AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:

Ah great to see you Stirly!!
Hmm, I will never utter the words about getting easier again. Huge tension filled day, waiting on results (extended family but affects us all) and all good in the end. Everyone is so elated, champagne and Cold drinks clinking everywhere or pictures of them on what's app.
I have not and will not cave but JeanyMac, it's never really goes, does it..
Going to treat myself to some ice cream (makes me feel like one of the kids!).
Hope your having a blast JC.. And you get a bit of this miracle weather!
Satz.. Yep.. Then there were 4. Maybe we can poach a few.. Tell us a few jokes, they'll all come for the craic!AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:

Hiya Mary! Sorry you had a tough day. I hadn't been a "day" drinker, only started in the evening for years and years so I guess that's one reason it was/is easier for me. I'm never, ever tempted when around people drinking. It was only when my own "witching hour" was approaching that I would start to get antsy if we weren't home and I would start counting the hours/minutes/seconds until we would be and I could take that first BIG sip. Frankly, it rarely crosses my mind anymore although I do wonder once in a while what it would be like to have a drink. Not that I have any cravings, TBH, it's more like curiosity than an actual craving. And seeing that I know only too well where that one drink would lead, the thought is usually followed by a slight feeling of mixed nausea/fear or something. Hard to describe. AL is just no longer a part of my life, period.
Hope you enjoyed your ice cream. I'm still on the no sugar thingey so my sweet cravings get squashed by 70% chocolate. Or a bit of tahini and honey on some whole wheat bread. Gawd, I'm boring.
May I be so nosey as to ask what the champagne and clinking of glasses was about? Celebrating something? - good new, I assume...
Just read back and saw that Roxy has been having a go-round as far as getting some kind of assistance. Don't know what things are like here in Greece. Asked a GP once about alcohol counseling and she practically threw me out of her office and told me to see the below-mentioned shrink. Went to him about depression and I lasted two whole sessions. We didn't click at all. He wanted to talk about things in my past that do not concern me at all. I didn't, seeing as they don't concern me. And that was that. Roxy, if you're around, hope you get some headway soon, both as far as the counseling and as far as employment go. Tough situation, that's for sure. I truly wish I had some advice to offer. All I can say is a HUGE "good for you" on not turning to AL to blur the edges. For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.
