I meant a bored wallflower with only a sober six year old for company sounds like a horrible night, not that you're boring, impossible
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

      Bless your heart.

It wasn't horrendous but I'm really glad it wasn't my early days.........just I wish the beggars would have come inside so I could get outside for a ciggie

She was good company but wouldn't let me have a go on her tambourine.

Going to have a poke round the S&H's new house shortly.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Hiya Jackie and Pauly if you're still around and to any who may be lurking or drop by later.

Jackie - so glad to hear the wedding and celebrations went well!! What shoes did you wear after all? And we'll be expecting details about the new house....

We had lunch with younger son, his wife and their boy plus her parents yesterday and coffee and then lunch with our wee Granddaughter and her parents today. A busy weekend in Stirly-World. Little Missy Miss plastered me with stick-on thingeys. I had little pieces of pie, cupcakes and little hearts on my nose, cheeks and fingernails. Just what you'd expect to see on a 60+ Grannie. And she giggled and giggled with everyone she stuck onto my face. Funny little imp, she is....

Blink/Roxy - if you're around - how are you doing? Saw you were over on the Sober Sunday thread earlier...

Just wanted to drop in to say hi. Sounds like a fun time Sitrly. How nice that she honored you with her stickeys.

JC - know what your evening reminded me of? Back when I was newly married and happily didn't drink (before I decided I could drink whether I liked it or not)........anyway, I always hung out with the kids. All the adults would be over somewhere and I would head over to the kids. I was always the fun aunt because I was down on the floor playing. Now, I'm learning to be that way again.

Nora, not having AL in our lives frees us to do a lot of things we've never done and to do things we used to do. Congrats on your 10+ months of sobriety. Good job!!

Troopers - will catch up with youz tomorrowz. Wishing you all sweet dreams and a pleasant week to come....

Its bewdiful...........they are so lucky and the nice thing is they know it.

Does anyone remember paper dolls that you cut out the the clothes and hung them on the dolls with little tags. Do they still make them?

She was a sweetheart, this wee lass, but next time I'll remember my own tambourine............if I ever find out where Mr JC hid it.

Going to say night night myself, been a long weekend full of happy times and emotional times.

              See you next week.:heartbeat:

YES JC, half my youth was spent dressing these dolls. Then we would get one of the old Patten catalogs from the fabric shop and I would cut all of these out too.. many many hours designing, right through my teens, but I wasn't as good a seamstress as my mother - also a hobby for her . I regretted for a while that I didn't follow through with that line in college.. but I spend enough on others peoples creations to make up for it!!
Those cutouts are still around, just not as popular, same way as sewing isn't.

So, was the wedding perfect up to the point of the BBQ? then it got messy??

I played with those kind as a kid but when my girls were growing up I couldn't find them so we would cut up magazines and Spiegel catalogs, get a cardboard box and make a little house with paper furniture glued to the box, make our "dolls" out of our favorite celebrities it was so much fun and we still talk about them now haha, night Army

Good Morning-Sunny and Beautiful here today...at work but grateful to be working, unhung on a Monday morning, and able to enjoy the company of a very sweet client.

Jackie-our pontificating "friend" continues to post monologues. I refuse to read them. He can't take up space in my brain for free.

                          Happy Monday to the Army!
