Thank you Rusty and Glass. Glass, I am a gun owner (long guns, see absolutely no reason to pack a handgun) and the gun laws are baffling even to me - someone who's been investigated by the FBI can buy a gun with no problem???

Today is off to a bit of a rough start. I ended up being a half hour late to work. Monday, I had to move my car onto the street for an electric utility tree crew and someone very nicely bashed in my back bumper. The repair shop Allstate deals with is as slow as maple syrup in the middle of a Vermont winter so I dropped off the car this morning thinking the sooner I drop it off, the sooner the work can start. A computer glitch and a nonexistent rental car reservation that should have been made by Allstate made things much slower than they should have.

For fun, I joined a dodgeball league. My team got our clock cleaned, but it was fun. I learned that I'm pretty good at dodging things that coming at me, but I can't throw or catch worth a damn. But, I ended up the final player on the court multiple times because of my wiles. On my way there yesterday, the overhead highway signs that usually tell us how bad traffic is (it's always bad) all read #orlandounited. That made me feel a little better.

We all went to a bar afterwards that had NA beer. Traditionally, the teams face off again in drinking games. When asked, I told my team captain I wouldn't play, but if I did, I would singlehandedly drink every last person there under the table and then some. But I'm not waking up in jail or a hospital again. Ever.

Morning all. The Orlando shooting and the singer's shooting has me gutted. Tried watching a comedy too, but barely smiled thru it. What were you watching Lizz? The movie Bernie with Jack Black is on tap tonight. It's an older movie but a great one.

Growing up in Canada guns were never an issue and I have had a very slow acceptance to them.
There is no reason on this earth that anyone needs an assault rifle. Hunting guns, etc. are okay when used sensibly and my husband has several and is a member of a gun club. In a locked box when in the home.

What is hard to reconcile is that we have a very strong vein of racism, bigotry and anti LBGT, even in 2016. Those feelings and assault rifles are never a good mix.

The only thing that has been positive has been Trump's falling numbers. This is a man with a mental disorder who wants to ruin this country for his own personal power. America is already great.

Some years ago, there was a convo with the Undies about possums. The American poster said they had a 40 something (shotgun) to deal with them. Tawny simply and brilliantly said "we just say shoo". Such a simple and truthful statement. Why do we have an internal feeling to want to kill.

Anyway off to deal with bills. Pain level is okay today (whew). Weather is so cold for June and Vancouver, Canada had snow!

Hi all! Yes, it has been a depressing few days, ugh.

Mama, I'm so sorry to hear it was cancer. I know you suspected but still . . . How are you feeling about that? Has it upped anxiety? I hope you are ok. It is fortunate they caught it.

aihfl, thanks for the updates. What a crazy crazy week you have had in your fair city. Hang in there.

Here's some good news: My oldest had a regular pediatrician visit and they found a heart murmur. We had to take him to a pediatric cardiologist. Thankfully, it is "innocent" so nothing is amiss. Whew!

Its beautiful weather here and my band rehearsal was cancelled. I'm thinking its time for a walk!!! C U Later!

Ahh rusty, still pinning away for Mr. G:love:

Mama, so sorry about the nose! One of the girls I work with had such a spot on her nose as well. She had it removed and although she wore a bandaid for about two weeks, it is hardly visable. I'm guessing it will get better as time goes on as this was very recent. I did not see it on your most recent picture, hope it's fast painless and heals beautifully.

AG so glad the murmur turned out to be innocent. I would've flipped out if the doctor had said it to me. I was never really good about the kids being sick and such.

Good day at work, not too busy. One of the doctors I work with wife had a baby last night. Their first, a girl. Everyone was excited for them. Such a sweet little girl. Anyway just got back from a walk, a little warm but beautiful outside.

Mama – I hope the cancer on your nose can be treated quickly and effectively. You’re a tough chicky babe and I know you will beat this.

SK – Tawny’s comment about the possums made me laugh – it is so true. Although sometimes if saying “shoo” doesn’t work we can be really badass. I’ve been known to clap my hands really loudly at times to scare the marauding wildlife away.

Pauly – you might appreciate this story. I heard a report on the radio today that someone is suggesting turning one of our outback towns into a new Las Vegas. Because they’re planning to build TWO casinos there!

Not a lot but I'd rather have it in my pocket AG,great news on the heart murmur, those are actually pretty common I think, we just want our kids to be healthy and happy, all that matters Mama, btw how are Grant and Clay doing? You used to fill us in all the time, hope good,Nora, you're being too quiet, check in,Liz,I need your hubs to crack my neck haha,I need to get to the chirp,I read that an adjustment can help with anxiety and depression cuz the vagnus nerve can get out of place with crooked bones, makes sense,hi Rusty,SK,TMH,Aivfl, hope we all have a great Thursday

Haha, Pauly, I was wondering what a chirp was. Can I be totally honest here? I love my hubs to pieces and I do get "cracked" and I do have anxiety and depression. I have not noticed any difference after an adjustment. I will mention this to him and see if he can work on that area. I'll get back to you with my results.

Rainy Thursday, figures I'm off and it rains. Another workout day for me. Kind of in a funk today, just CJ and sissy stuff. Not a good way to start a Thursday. I had my heart set on going to the beach today, oh well.

Have a great Thursday! Like mama said the other day, I think of you all often!

Hey all - I have so much to respond to. But, it'll have to be later.

The black cloud has finally eased up a little bit this morning. Whew. That depression was really trying to take hold this time. But, I am back to seeing the good & positive this morning.
Thank goodness that I was strong enough to know that drinking wouldn't fix it. That is a major accomplishment for me.

Good news, Nora. I don't want you to be sad.

Mama, that is scary about the cancer. My dad had it too, but was quickly gone and had to wear a hat whenever in the sun. As snowbirds. mom and dad wintered in the Florida Keys and he never wore sunscreen. Don't know if that was the culprit, but it seems so, like my mother who used copious amounts of shower to shower and died of ovarian cancer. Sometimes the most innocent things are deadly.

Dang,I haven't heard of Shower to shower for ages! Blast from the past haha,Nora, glad you feel better,I hate those moods, usually I can shake it pretty good but a couple of weeks ago I had one that stuck, repetitive negative thoughts, spaciness, just bad,Liz,I dunno if it actually helps, just something I read,Brady just called me and he's having a great time in Portland so that's good hubs and I are trying to eat healthier by having a big salad before dinner but I put so much cheese, croutons and ranch on mine it probably defeats the purpose haha
