Look at all you have to deal with. You have a home... Money to travel, investments....
My son has lost everything. No money no place to live stress to find a meal one day to the next.
Pray for him to find sobriety."Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never -- in nothing, great or small, large or petty -- never give in, except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy. " by Winston Churchill .

Where is everyone today?? I hope you are enjoying some beautiful weather and a clear head.
Rusty - are you still traveling?? I'm guessing so
SK - I love it when you come around
Nora - How's your mom?? Is she happy?? You are so good to her
Mama - I hope your life is settling down a little bit . . . too much
Techie - Awesome to see you here, hope you are well
Liz - Where is your son now? Working? Living at home? I think I recall he was abroad for while . . .
TMH and Frances, I hope you are having a great start to your weekend. I was just out of town for 3 days for work (don't know how you do it Rusty!) and am so happy to be home and going to bed early tonight.
Anyone I missed, please take care and check in when you can - AG

Good morning! AG, my son is home. He starts his job on Monday. Can't believe he is all grown up starting his career. He is working for a great company and will do rotations for the first three years. He was abroad last summer and would ultimately love to live abroad. One of the rotations at his current company is Belgium, another would be California and he's got his fingers crossed. Thanks for asking.
Nora, I love the just cut feeling! Like a new woman. I watched Grace and Frankie last night. Not what I expected but thanks for the tip, I will definitely continue with it.
Well, what is everyone up to this weekend? I have no plans and I'm not feeling motivated to do anything. I hate that. I wanted to relax and read and hang out in the pool but sadly it is overcast today. Looks like it's going to be a "workout" day and once I get going I know I will feel great.

Hey guys. I had a tummy bug that made me miserable yesterday. But I am fine now. It's a good thing because we had a natural death on one of my properties this morning, so I had to go handle that.
I think we are having sushi for date night. Everything else is fine. Bret spent all day yesterday helping Nana buy a new car.
Nora - I love a new haircut too. Good for your son AG!!
Hey everyone else. I think of all of you all the time!I love my family more than alcohol.:h

Hey all - just wanted to say hi. I've been sorting thru MOUNDS of papers. Huge amount to shred and a pile that went straight to the trash. Why oh why do I do this to myself???
Anyway, about to call it a day and chill out. It's been so dreary, drizzly & dark. Really brings me down. Thank goodness I live in California. I don't know how I would be if it was like this all the time."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Hi everybody! It was a steamy and sunny 93 degrees here today. I just finished working out and I am about to jump in the pool as I have it all to myself! Yay!
Nora- I did the same thing you did today...and for the life of me I don't know why I accumulate so much crap! It felt really good to throw things out, though.
Mama-sorry you had a bug but I Am so glad you are in the mend.
Lizz-that story about Lucy and the bunny made me laugh!
Tomorrow I will be with my family for a day of boating and swimming. My older brother, the expert waterskier, and avid powerboater that he used to be as a teenager, decided to buy a new pontoon boat. So we are going to christen it tomorrow. Should be fun!
I hope everyone is having a great night and I'll see you tomorrow! :-)
Big hellos to AG, TMH, Frances, Skendall, Pauly, Glassy, and everyone else!Last edited by Rusty; June 11, 2016, 08:20 PM.

Rusty have fun on the boat. I was an avid warerskier too. We have not had our boat in the water the past two summers. Haven't gotten around to it yet this year either, maybe soon.

Nora..hahahah...mama doesn't have a bug butt, she has a bug nose! Just kidding, Mama...I am sure your nose is still beautiful..even after that surgery. Is Nana still really upset about the accident? I feel so badly that you have to go over to her house tomorrow… It just must be so tedious listening to her go on and on and on about the whole mess! When you get the spot taken off your belly, dear? Sorry that you had to deal with the death of a resident on one of your properties. What a drag! Well, friends I think I will sign off for tonight. Liz, I used to love to water ski, too. Nighty night, everyone.Last edited by Rusty; June 12, 2016, 08:11 AM.

Wow this is a busy thread! Sounds like everyone is doing pretty well - all this talk of the pool has me second guessing whether to pay our annual fees this year - I had decided not to since we go so rarely. The cost per visit just doesn't work out to make it worth doing. But now I'm thinking = boy going to the pool sounds great! Would I ever really go there? Probably not. Something to think about though.
Off to more softball today - daughter's team won all their games yesterday - hopefully their streak will continue!
