Good Morning, Army, It's Dark O'Clock here in Wisconsin! Lots of work to do before going to work today but I am cherishing sobriety...nothing like working at this hour of the morning, sober and happy instead of hungover and ashamed.

Yep I've defo come down from the celebrations...........flat as a pancake now.

Scorcher of a day for us oop north, think we've got a storm headed this way..........it will prolly begin within 3 minutes of Mr JC finishing watering the garden.

just watered the garden,and just had the storm...as far as storms go it scores a big fat zilch...its still as hot as heck out there and the ground is dry but the thunder and lightning were good to watch..think I overdid it a bit in the sun today tho...images.jpg

Evening Army - not been around much for the last couple of weeks as I had to study (at my age ) but Pensions Calculations exam took and house had its first decent clean since last September so finally got a few days free to do things I want to do. Still got one assignment to do but that's not due to the end of July so having a bit of a break which has been a euphemism for eating absolute rubbish for the last couple of days

No gym either as the air conditioning is kaput and I'm too old and awkward to exert myself in these somewhat unusual temperatures although it is starting to rain now, knew summer wouldn't last.

Taking Charlie boy for an x-ray tomorrow so have a "starving" Labrador on the premises - God knows where that particular expense will end as he might well need two new elbows.

With great difficulty Jackie he is at the vets now and the house seems absolutely dead without him. I can phone at 2pm to see when he can come home, not that I'm waiting - much
