    Watched Ireland beat Italy in football in France with the Greeks last night - doesn't get better than that.!
    We're the only Irish on the Island of Keffalonia because it's so difficult to get to - and the craic was mighty!!!!
    Rest of the party are comatose - thank feck for MWO

      Good Morning, Army! It is 5:07 AM here and I've been up working for an hour.

      Satz-I watched the Ireland v. Italy football game yesterday afternoon after work. HOW EXCITING! I was on the edge of my chair! I am 1/2 Irish and I was cheering them on! Please join us on the Steppers' Thread, too, if you choose. We would love to see you there!

        Morning all. I am off to yoga then bike ride. This afternoon I will be working on a business plan for a new project. I hope your day is full of adventure or other good things!

                Howdy Nora, Siper, et al. I just want to say how very much I miss the regular Army folks here. They probably do not realize how much comfort they provided JUST being here and posting. While I did not contribute much on the Army thread, I always read the trail of posts. Since I am not a huge fan of change I find the overall state of the site distressing. However, I am not ever going to give up on the hope that many wonderful MWOers will gravitate back here. xoxo

                  Techie - I agree with you 100%. I miss the Army regulars. When Molls left, I kept hoping that she would come back. Now JC is gone. Stirly and so many others.

                  I agree with being distressed with the overall state of the site. I have sent several messages to admin with no response. I just don't understand why we don't get any answer from ANYONE.

                    I'm not sure Nora. I just promise to keep my presence here until the lights go out. Not sure what admin can do. It is members that make this entire thing work. It just appears so many just turned off to what was such a good thing.

                      Question though my Techie friend. I took an online web design class many years ago and can't remember much. So here is my question:
                      Aren't search terms put into a webpage so that when you search a word, that website will come up?

                      I google 'Stop Drinking' 'Stop Drinking Forum' 'How do I stop drinking' and various other phrases. My Way Out does not show up.

                      Doesn't that mean that there is an issue with the coding of the HTML or whatever. Can't even remember the terminology. :rotlf:

                      Anyway - that is my question to admin so maybe you can answer it for me please. I just can't figure it out.

                        Yes you are right Nora. It's called SEO search engine optimization and it is critical to position a site like MWO. So, perhaps NOBODY is watching the store. Awful!

                            Grasping at straws here.

                            My opinion and I hope, hope, hope that I'm wrong is that they deliberately removed the SEO. If not, why aren't they responding to the numerous inquiries?

                              No there is not. SEO is a complex process. If it were easy everyone would be moving their site up on the hierarchy. I will give some other option some thought!

                                One other point I need to make. For those that feel passionate about this site we need to wait things out a bit. I am not in favor of doing anything that would harm the integrity of the forum. Remember, even though the members have stepped away, many many folk come here as visitors.
