Molly wagged her tail when I talked to her. She ate some and she hopped a little bit to a different spot on the carpet. We're trying to carry her mostly to give her legs a rest. But, we've got a little bit of hope that she will improve so that she's not in pain. She is better. :thanks:

That's very good news Nora. I hope she continues to improve.

          On a cheerier note...

I'm now out of my moon boot and can kind of walk a bit.

          Which means.......................BABY SHOPPING!
(not actually to buy a baby, but clothes for the one on the way).

Liz I was in the dreaded boot since the middle of April. It feels much longer to me!

I'm still having probs with my foot, but it's OK to go shopping and that's the main thing. :baby:

I bought the cutest little things yesterday. A mix and match set of cream and green stripey bodysuits and leggings (organic cotton of course - and recyclable and non gender specific). But with teeny matching hats!!

So we're voting for our new Government today. This probably sounds a bit weird to you guys, but the election was only called 8 weeks ago, and by 6 weeks everyone was already bored ****less and couldn't wait for all the election nonsense to be over. How you manage to maintain interest for the many months/years that you do amazes me!

Anyway, most of us are hoping that a new party will bring marriage equality, but that's not looking promising.

FYI, Glassy I'm so tired of the election news. It's just annoying at this point. I like the idea of 8 weeks so much better.

I lived for a year in Alabama and loved that no one bothers to fight over Alabama in national elections because it's a foregone conclusion that Republicans will win big. There was no barrage of TV commercials to sit through and no one bothers you on the phone. That's about ALL I liked about Alabama, but that one thing was a big positive. Plus, if you want to vote for a third party presidential candidate in a non swing state, you can, because your vote really doesn't matter. Quite a different story in states in Florida and Ohio, swing states in which I've lived. I still will probably vote third party though even though I live in Florida. My conservative relatives tell me I might as well be voting for Hillary Clinton and my progressive friends tell me I might as well be voting for Trump. But as long as people still accept voting within the two-party paradigm, nothing will change, and with such unappealing candidates for both the Republican and Democratic Parties, this is the first time in a long time people sick of the status quo will have to really make a statement rather than just lodging a protest vote. Anyway, this got more overtly political than I meant for it to, so I hope no one is offended.

Aihfl - I must admit you guys seem to be between a rock and a hard place with your current choices. So are we and we have been for a long time. The only difference is that we don't have the 8 year limit that you do, so I guess we can at least see how one side is performing when we vote whether or not we keep them in.

And after last night it looks like everyone concurs they're all as bad as each other and we have a hung parliament. This will be interesting!

Happy Saturday. Glassie, so exciting to be shopping for baby clothes. I hope that your foot continues to improve.

I've been going thru some old stuff. We are still downsizing here. Talked to my brother today and he is supposed to get busy going thru what he can and I'll plan a weekend trip so we can get a plan of attack going. His son put an offer on a house today so I want to keep things moving. My brother will drag his feet if I let him.

I stopped taking my anti-depressant a few days ago. I'm not having any withdrawals so I'm going to see how I do. I am in such a different place than I was when I started taking them. So, I'm giving it a try. Please tell me if you notice that I'm not acting my normal weird self.

Did have a weird thought today as I was in the grocery store. Not a craving exactly but sort of a wishful thought. That is unusual for me. Glad that it was such a fleeting thought but still bugged me.

Nora, do you think that thought has anything to do with you stopping the AD?

I don't really think so. But, that's why I mentioned both things. So, that you all will keep an eye on me. I think that the drinking thought was because of the 4th of July block party on Monday. I'll be so glad when it's over. I drank too much last year and it's just a bad memory for me. I've been thinking about it a lot so I think that's why it hit me when I was in the store.

Molly was hopping on 3 legs and even put some weight on her right back leg. We don't want her to, of course. But, it was such a joy to see her acting almost normal.

Sorry that I've been hogging all the attention around here.

I hope that everyone is having a relaxing time.

Hmmm, yes I can imagine hearing everyone talking about how they'll celebrate with a drink might turn your thoughts that way.

But think how they'll all be feeling on the 5th of July!
