Good morning! Have I mentioned lately that you guys are the best? My nephew is having his graduation party tonight. Hubs and I went to the firehouse last night to help sissy and BIL set up. He seemed in better spirits last night. No one mentioned the job situation.
Spoke to my SIL last night too. Still dealing with the fevers but the bone marrow biopsy came back negative. The doctors are baffled. They will now do a lymph node biopsy. She still wants us to come down next week! They live about two hours south of us. We shall see.
Glassy, you had me laughing with the flood in California comment. That was good!
It's going to be super hot today. I will hang out in the pool for a bit. Happy Saturday!

Hi all, promised I would post later yesterday but was too tired and then my screen went to portrait, I must have hit something. Trying to operate the mouse at 45 deg angle was a pain.
Pauly, you are so funny.
Lizz, BIL may need to consult with with a professional headhunter for advice and maybe cast his job search net a little wider.
Hey Glassy, I think your boot must be off by now.
Mr. V. delighted to see you, where do you live that's it's so hot? In the NW we are supposed to get summer this weekend, it's been cold. I walked Peggy this a.m. and needed a jacket!
Rusty, stop worrying about hurting people's feelings, you don't. Enjoy your weekend.
Nora, that is a lovely, lovely picture. Your mom really is cute and the nieces all so gorgeous. Great picture of you also.
Where are you Mama? aihfl and anyone I've missed.Enlightened by MWO

Hey all - hope that everyone is enjoying their Saturday. Everyone with a pool - ENJOY! It's around 11:00 am here and we're already around 98°. Too hot! We've got our little air conditioner going in the living room. Thank goodness we have that. Don't know if I could have made it thru another summer with my sanity intact. :rotlf:
Good to see everyone. SK - have they been able to get you on something that is controlling the pain better?
I'm going to go play bingo with a girlfriend tonight. I don't want to do anything or go anywhere. But, we've been talking about this for months & months. I know that I'll have fun but I just need to force myself to go. I'm not the type of person that likes to go out very much. Plus, I don't like crowds ( then why in the world would I go to a crowded room jammed with people :egad: ) The truth is that it will do me good to get out. I've been having more anxiety lately. But, that could just be because it has been a hard stressful week. Sigh.....oh yeah - this is what is called LIFE."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

I'm sure that I've mentioned the Tired of Thinking about Drinking blog that I like. I don't know if I have mentioned UnPickled.
Anyway, I read something that really hit home. She had gone to Las Vegas for a wedding.......Surviving Las Vegas
The most lasting impression – aside from the gorgeous bride, our reason for being there – was a couple we sat behind on the flight home. There was tension between them, clearly. The wife was quite obviously hung over, a shroud of shame and pain clung to her shoulders. Her eyes looked dead in that way many of us in recovery know all too well – a mix of defeat and defiance. Her husband was silent before, during, and after the flight. He sheparded her through the crowds but walked a step ahead. He acknowledged when she spoke to him but his eyes were quiet steel. Jesus, what happened with these two? Whatever it was, the fallout was evident. My heart ached for them both, and I couldn’t help feel that their story was a long way from over."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Good morning. Another hot day on tap here. Nora, I don't like going out or crowds either, but you're right force yourself and you will be glad you went.
Went to my nephews grad party last night and it was fun. Don't know if I mentioned he is a volunteer firefighter and the party was at the firehouse. The best part was we got to see the trucks and even go inside. There was a call and one of the trucks had to go out. Sirens and all. I need to get a life, but I love that kinda stuff
Church in a bit. We are attending another church's 25th anniversary celebration. Again, lots of people I don't know and were gonna have to mingle, not my thing.
Enjoy your day!

Good Morning all. PNW going to be sunny today:happy2: I'm watching CBS This Morning on CBS it's a very positive show telling us positive stories about the US and it's history and amazing people.
Pauly and Nora, your temps are very high and it reminds me of Texas. Does one air-conditioner cool the whole house Nora?
I have started gabapentin at 100g or mg and suffered the side effects for 24 hours and after that I wanted to quit but someone urged me to keep on and I did and it is helping, it hurts my stomach a lot so I take bicarb soda 2-3 times a day. I am grateful for the relief it provides.
I take this ORAC everyday which supposedly has 24 antioxidants and put the b.soda in that, along with psyllica which helps digestion and is supposed to help with hair regrowth and skin, lol.
I try to put it in a half glass of water - 6 glugs because it tastes like grass. The psyllica makes me feel full, so I eat less.
Have a great day everyone.
Good job on the bingo Nora. I love getting out and last week at the Lavender Festival there was a street food fair and it felt great and I like crowds like that, listening to music, smelling all the different foods, etc. I read an article yesterday that dark berries are our best friend and they also come in a powdered form. I buy fresh berries, but will check out the powdered version, it's got to be better than drinking grass, but I'll still do that. BTW the ORAC does make me feel energized.Enlightened by MWO

Liz - your evening last night sounds like so much fun. Hope things go ok today with your mingling. :shame: I am getting better at coping once I'm in the situation but not fun.
SK - I do hope that the gaba helps. Hubby has been on Tegretol for years. I don't know if that works the same way as the gaba. But, he is VERY sensitive to meds and he can tolerate this one. I do know that it depends, because when he originally had his hemorrhage, they had him on a different one until they released what part of the brain was affected.
Mr V - how was the pool? I am so jealous. LOL I love when people who have pools actually use them!
AG - how is Alaska? Are you having fun?
Rusty - where are you? Have I missed you this weekend?
Waving to everyone. Might get up and actually do something but it's still in the planning stages. :victorious:
They are going to start having a street night in my city on Friday nights in August. We're thinking we'll go check it out. Because it is fun to walk around that type of place. I enjoy the music and the relaxed atmosphere of the crowd."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett
