Guessing the day before, on the basis that many of us started Day 1 with a mother****ing hangover!!

tell us about your hol -- 'zactly when you going -- trains planes or automobiles? -- how long -- what accommodation -- go on -- wanna hear it all.... I can live vicariously through you ;-)

Monday afternoon, Fly into west Munich (Munich Ryanair), hop into hired car and head south towards the Bavarian alps. Staying in an area called Missen-Wilhams,near lake Constance. Last year we moved around a bit to fit more in, but decided to work from the one spot this year. We have a few days planned like Neuschwanstein Castle, parks, historic places - kid friendly and plan to do a few hill walks. A 9 day mini adventure.

Evening all......Mary....thanks for the kind words.....they mean so much when one is down and having a really hard time.....and JC....thank you for the cake and your endless loyalty.
My apologies again for becoming a hermit the last 8 weeks.....I guess its all been rather a lot in 18 months.... Tony's death, spinal fusion, rehab, retiring, moving cities, leaving grandchildren, new job in totally new field, huge drop in income while battling to pay medical bills.......and then always the lonliness.........the depression was bound to hit home sooner of later!!

Ye know Mers - he's doing well as far as I know. He looks well and does normal things like playing golf with his Dad and going to matches with his sister.
I do not delve too much but he says everything is fine- so I'll take that.
Deffo 100% better than it was this time last year when we all buried our heads in the sand....

I used to get terrible motion sickness as a child. Apparently I used to go a rather odd colour of grey/green. Which gave my Ma about 2 minutes notice to get a bag out.
