Hello from south Baveria. Always a risk booking accomadation online, but we hit the jackpot here! Delighted. Fab views, pool, weather perfect.. Watching a hot air balloon float by... I'll stop rubbing it in now

Few pangs in the airport, but short lived.
Of course Mr M filled up the trolly with all the holiday favourites, as did I, sparkling water, lemons and limes.

Have fun Mary Molly,I feel anxious, my hubs is considering going back to plumbing after being a mechanic for years,I'm very unsure about this move and I think its idiotic,afraid we're gonna be broke,wish he would be happy with what we do have,anyways I snap at him when he brings it up,how do I deal with this situation so I'm not triggered to drink? Should I focus on myself and my job? Sort of detach or what? Help

First things first........its completely natural to feel anxious when there's a big change in your life. To be honest think you'd be an odd bod if you didn't.

Now this is a true story.

My hairdresser was married to an accountant........super well off but he was as miserable as sin. He was offered the chance of redundancy (think he worked for Nestle) took it and retrained as a plumber...........yep they've had to cut back a bit but he's a happier man than he ever was which means so is she.

Rather than snapping find a quiet moment and tell him your fears, I'll bet he's got a few of his own.

Drinking never solved any problems................I tried for years and believe me it doesn't work.

I know Jackie,its just been my go to for anxiety for awhile you know,just worried cuz when he was doing plumbing he had been laid off for 3 years! Both of us stepped up the drinking during that time,he just couldn't find any jobs,finally he found his current job doing light duty service on cars for nearly 5 years,I know he's unhappy with it but its full time,guaranteed wage,sat and sun off,too unsure of going back to plumbing and I know he's got anxiety cuz he's acting like me,snappy and I see him dazing off in thought, ugh,where's the ice cream, I need it!!
