I so much appreciate the support of everyone who posted here. The tears have stopped flowing, there is a lot to do. I was my sister's primary support, I worried about her every day. Now at least that is done. My husband continues to be a great support, as well as his siblings, my church family, other friends. People are offering their help, and I will start asking some to help me clear out the apartment. I encouraged my visiting brother to go home today, these others can now take over helping with the work. Blessings to you all.

I'm so sorry Sunbeam. Please do take care of yourself. Only do what HAS to be done. I found that has helped in past difficulties. ((Hugs))

I'm very busy cleaning out my sister's apartment, trying to find a home for her nine year old dog, making arrangements for her memorial service, meeting with our attorney this week. I do have friends lined up to help me every day. Once this all slows down, I will probably collapse into a puddle.

Nora, the best news is that some one has her dog overnight for a trial. We don't want to keep my sister's dog, because one dog is enough and our current dog is so indignant about the other's presence.

I hope that works out. It would be so hard for you to keep him, if they aren't happy together.

Hope everything is going okay for you Sunbeam. I know what it's like, my son, brother and I had to clean out the house and all mom's things after she passed away. It wasn't fun and settling the estate was more work than I imagined, but I got through it. Prayers out your way....
Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.
