TMH, I am sure you had your share of struggles back in the day, if not now. Everyone's got something, I am convinced. It's good to hear your just gliding along. I will get my nails done tomorrow too. I have been doing it for a little more than a year now and I get what you mean time wise, but I love the easy they look. I used to get acrylic now I do gels.

Mama, go for. It definitely sounds less stressful. I don't know what exactly is involved but I hope it pans out for you. You work so darn hard.

Nora, how was your first day back after the weekend. Those are the worst I find. Did your mom miss you? I'll bet you are all rested and relaxed.

Rainy muggy day here. It's ok though since I was working. Did you guys hear about the bombings in NY/NJ? OMG, way to close to home. I hate to say, you would almost expect it in NYC, but no here. We were down the shore on Saturday too, probably about 30 mikes north of where the bombs went off. The second set of bombings and where they found the suspect is about 45 minutes south. Crazy world we live in. Anyway excitement I could have done without.

It becomes a pretty great way to eat, Techie, after a little adjustment :smile:. The emerging science about preventing/treating various types of cancer with a low carb, no sugar diet is pretty compelling and exciting! All the best to you, NS

Yes, agree bombings are scary. Interesting that both Trump and Hillary talked about the "bombings" but CNN bleeped out Hil's use of the word, and Trump got blasted. G.D. Media!
Last Sunday we took an hour golf lesson, then played 18. I got super dehydrated. Yest when I went for my run I was feeling pretty good but then after halfway done got weak & dizzy. Same today. Played only 9 holes. Got home and ate a whole sandwich and a big can of regular V8. More water and now I had some salted nuts and feel much better, but very full. Hate being so sensitive. But something easily fixable.

Learned of a burglary not only in our gated community but on the street we just moved to. Couple weren't home. Burglers took their safe which was in a closet behind clothes and some gold jewelry. Learned today they jimmied the slider door. Heck, we rarely lock slider door. Now I am going to,get a dowel to put in track.

Anybody else watch Born This Way? It is on A&E on Tues nights.

Techie, so glad to hear your doing well! I have cut back on my sugar intake as well. It's not easy to do, but I guess it will get easier with time. Can't honestly say I feel any different, maybe that's still coming too? Anyway your sounding good.

Mama, maybe it's a good thing the head hunter is seeking you out? Could this other job be less stressful.

TMH, that's just scary with those burglaries. One of the first things my dad did for hubby and I when we first moved into our house was but a piece of wood in the track of our sliding glass door. I would never leave any door unlocked. You just never know. Hope they catch whoever is behind it all.

Enjoyed my day off today. Just catching up on everything I couldn't do last week. I'm tired but feeling somewhat accomplished. Helped hubby cover the pool today. That makes me kinda sad. Glad it's still so warm here. Found this really cool unique store with Erin tonight. It's kind of like a home goods but with an exotic type feel to it. Picked up some things for CJ and Joe. Well off to bed for me. Sweet dreams. . .

Just needed to check in. Stressful day. Took mom to ER this am. She felt weak, short of breathe, etc. Everything came back good so she was released. I brought her home and got her settled with Scott and then went to work. I could tell she wasn't feeling great when I got home. She joked around a couple of times about being pregnant. It's hard for her to express herself. So, I figured that meant she was sick. Finally took her temp and it's 101. Gave her some Tylenol and just hoping it's not a bad flu.

Nora - I hope it's nothing serious with your mom. I imagine that even a small virus might make really knock her around at the moment so hopefully it's nothing major.

Techie I'm so glad you're being proactive about making life changes to improve your health. I'm sure that can only help.

Mama - good luck with the headhunter and your planned move into a different type of real estate - it sounds like a much better fit for you than what you're doing now.

Liz - you are such a special mother. I'm sure CJ appreciated you buying her some nice homewares, and she'll think of you whenever she sees them.

A while ago I told you I was a bit addicted to watching some shows about US real estate. It's such a good way to get an understanding of the different culture in various parts of the place where you guys live. Anyway Pauly, one of them is called "Sale of two cities" and today's was about what two couples could buy for the same price (350,000) in either Charlotte NC or Las Vegas. Jeepers, for what they could buy for that price I might move there myself!

Nothing new here. Just me and Lucy here tonight, boys are at a meeting. Bought I bunch of bridal magazines for CJ and I will look through them tonight. We have signed up for a bridal expo next week. Let the games begin.

Nora, I am so glad she's feeling better! You must be so relieved, I don't know when they are getting married. CJ would like it to be next September. I don't know if that is doable or not. We shall see when she gets home this weekend. I'm sure some of the venues are already booked for next September.

Glassy, any baby yet? I can't wait to see what they name her!
