It probably wouldn't be so interesting for you guys because you know so much about these places, but I love it. It was so ironic that the one I talked about yesterday featured Charlotte NC and it looked so idyllic and peaceful. And then today I saw the news!

Nothing new here. Just me and Lucy here tonight, boys are at a meeting. Bought I bunch of bridal magazines for CJ and I will look through them tonight. We have signed up for a bridal expo next week. Let the games begin.

I repeat my earlier comments - you are the best mom ever, and your kids will always need you and appreciate what you do for them. I love the way you're transitioning into an adult relationship with them.

No grandbaby yet - but she's getting very large! Probably more noticeable because she's such a slim little thing to start with. She must feel ready to burst. I so hope it all goes well.

Oh......one of my employees "showed her ass"...or acted really ugly to me yesterday. I killed her with kindness this morning by bringing her some groceries. She is a single mother and in a bad situation and is broke, so I am trying to teach her how to behave. Pay it forward, right?

Glassie - I follow something called "the free hugs project". They were there last night in NC trying to combat the violence. I couldn't even watch. I was so scared for them - such angry people.

Glassy, thank you for your kind words! You are so sweet and insightful! I will look up that link. Very interesting. Let me know if they ever do anything on New Jersey. This state gets a pretty bad wrap but honestly it's the Garden State for a reason.

Nora, how is mom feeling? Just wondering if you ever take mom out? Does she always stay at home? Hope you're having a good day at work. You made me laugh with the howdy! Hubby is a chiropractor and has learned over the years not to greet his patients with Hi, how are you. He would always get a very long description of how they were. His greeting has now become "Howdy, howdy". Our kids tease him mercilessly. Thanks for the smile this morning.

So CJ is coming home tomorrow night:yay: joe is staying another week. They have made progress on the property. I have missed her and am looking forward to the exciting engagement party and wedding planning. I don't know if I ever mentioned but I looooove weddings.
So one last warm sunny day here before autumn weather actually kicks in. Hubby wanted to go down the shore, but there's just too much to do here. He was there yesterday fishing, it was perfect.

I am so glad that it's Friday. This has been quite the week. Does anybody have any wild & crazy plans for the weekend? We're supposed to get another heat wave so I imagine we'll be huddled in our living room trying to stay cool.

We are planning on going apple picking tomorrow. It's always lots of fun. I'm sure once we get home I will be baking apple dumplings or apple crisp! Yep, fall is in the air. Temps will drop overnight so it will feel more like fall too.

Good morning and happy Saturday! Off to pick apples in a bit, figured is check in quick.
Did some Christmas shopping yesterday. I am anticipating a busy fall so I figured I'd start early to alleviate some stress. Plus my sisters birthdays are coming up so that needed to be dealt with as well. Hubby and I are going on a ten day cruise in November, so that's another reason I need to get things done early.

Hey all,have fun apple picking Liz had a weird dream I was at Starbucks and they were telling me the gender of Kells baby,first they gave me a blue card and I left cuz that's what I figured anyways then I was leaving and they handed me a pink one saying they screwed up,dreams are weird haha,hope everyone enjoys their day
