Rusty, yes I am still seeing the therapist and the jury's still out on whether it's helpful or not. I will continue to give it a try.
Pauly, I hope it works out with your mom. How far away does she live from you and how long would she stay? I would dread when my inlaws came to stay. They would stay three weeks at a time! Thankfully that was before I was drinking.

Good morning everyone, we've been having beautiful fall-like weather here. Lows in the high 50s, and highs around 80. Mr. V., I spent yesterday in a kayak, too, on the Hillsborough River which starts in the Green Swamp between Tampa and Orlando and wanders west about 55 miles to Tampa Bay.

Nora, I prefer books, too. I have a couple of Kindles (one I bought for when I was still working as a musician and was doing a lot of pit work, i.e. operas and ballets, since you can't have a book out on a music stand; the other was given to me) but I started to prefer books when I was still doing a lot of traveling and at that time, ALL electronic devices had to be powered off during takeoff and landing, including Kindles, but no one would tell you to turn off a book. I also tend to read novels rather quickly, and unless it's an author I really, really like, I don't like buying them. For example, I love reading novels by Stephen King and his son, Joe Hill, but I doubt I'm going to read their books more than once, so getting their books from the library seems to be the best solution.

I'm really looking forward to the Billy Joel concert - thank you everyone for making me feel better about spending double what I had planned on spending :congratulatory: Hope everyone is having a great day.

Morning, it's crunch time at the Kendall home and I have butterflies about the move. Michael Buble is on tv this a.m. I used to have some cd's because I find his voice soothing and may look for some for the long drive.
