    Liz - x-post

That's a cute idea for the pink hair. I guess I'll do purple for my next Alzheimer's walk. Jazz it up a bit. Have they been able to work out the engagement party details yet? Is it going to be a big affair or just family? Oh, you do have a big family. I totally forgot about that.

Haha Nora, I didn't think I had a big family, but I guess I do now! I grew up with just my parents and my sisters. My grandparents, aunts uncles and cousins lived in Germany and we didn't see them much. It would just be family at the engagement party, about 60 people.
As much as I hate to say it, IMHO there is age discrimination in the job market. I have seen it with my BIL, sadly. Have you looked around recently Nora. It couldn't hurt to put some applications out there and see what happens.
I am certain I will be dreaming about wedding gowns or pink poodles tonight. Sweet dreams

But, I also realize that continuing on like this is directly affecting my health. The doctors think that the pain I have been having all over is from stress. I used to love working there - the best boss in the world. But, with his daughter taking over, there have been so many issues. And, it goes back to the way she treats people.
Nora, when it starts to affect your health you have no choice. NO job is worth dying over, ever! And it's not worth being miserable over either. My sister and I have a silly joke between us that, whenever one of us is putting something off (especially because of money) the other one will say "What, are you waiting until you're grown up enough?" Given that we're 58 and 55 , that usually puts things into perspective. (It usually makes us burst into laughter as though we're teenagers again too, but that's another story)

Good Morning, Friends!! Happy Sunday to All!

Liz-your 5K sounded so fun...pink hair, pink poodles...HAHAH! Good for you!! I am sure you are grateful that you, hubs, and your family enjoy each other's company. Does CJ ever watch "Say Yes To the Dress?"

Nora-I so understand how your incredible pain must be related to your job. That was the same for me when I was in the automotive industry. So glad I am out of it. I don't think I could have maintained any kind of long-term sobriety if I had remained in it. The stress was ungodly for me.

Pauly-I am so proud of you for handling Kell's situation with such levelheadness and compassion at the same time...and doing all of it sober. You are amazing!

Glassy-it sounds like you have a wonderful relationship with your sister...it's great, isn't it? I am 55 and my sister is 60 and when we get together, we cackle like we are two kids in junior high, giggling next to our lockers. She is the best sister in the world...don't know what I would do without her, and I am the youngest of 5 kids.

Ok, I am off to the gym in a bit, then off to visit my Mom and my sister. :-) To all those who are MIA: Mama, TMH, AG, and Aihfl, check in when you can, please!!

          Happy Sunday, everyone!

Yep - she's my best friend and the one person in the world who knows absolutely everything about me. I honestly don't know what I'd do without her. She's also the person who got me into the most trouble in my life, but that's another story

Haha, glassy, I love it! Yes I agree sisters are great. My twin came with us yesterday dress shopping.
Rusty is the sister you are close to closest in age to you?
Yes CJ watches all those wedding shows. She has all the magazines. She's not a reader at all, but those she likes. Then there's Pinterest. Things sure have changed since I got married.
Another cool drizzly day here. I need some sun! I think I mentioned vitamin B12 last night but thinking about it during the night I realized it was vitamin D that helped my mood significantly. Off to take some now,
Happy Sunday guys! Good day to spend indoors watching football

Hey all, Liz how fun to be dress shopping and running with pink poodles haha, some of the dresses these days are so beautiful I want to buy one and walk around the house pretending that I'm a princess, long way from the puffy sleeves and the weird collar of the 90's wedding dress that I had, totally ugly but at the time it was pretty to me,how's my Lucy? Does B12 really help that much Rusty? I remember Lav talking about it in the abs thread but I just figured the b complex I take was enough, Kell stopped by last night, she seems to be feeling ok I guess, she says she's ready to go back to work to distract herself,I'm gonna take them to Boulder city for art in the park that'll be something fun to do for the day,I haven't seen Mama in forever! Has anyone talked to her? Glassy, give that granddaughter extra hugs, such a blessing, I've been hugging big Lou lots more just being grateful that he's healthy as a horse and happy, things that I may have just taken for granted before ya know? Nora did you check out the link Kuya posted? I'm going to when I get some alone time, I've been watching those 3ps links and I think this old ding bat is starting to finally get it haha,I love you ALL, have a great AF Sunday and thanks for everything everyone
I have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:

I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

Hey Pauly - did you ever make it for a walk? Is Kell going back to work next week or is she going to look for something?

I went for a massage this morning. As much as I drug my feet about doing this, I have to admit that it helps. The muscles are so knotted up so hopefully this will help.

Liz - are you taking it easy after your 5k?

Rusty - hope you have a fun day with your sister & mom.

Well - guess I'll continue with my lazy weekend :rotlf:

I don't take Vitamin D - all the doctors that I've seen recently were surprised that my Vitamin D level was good. I do take a Vitamin B12 supplement but I haven't been taking Vitamin D except in my multi-vitamin. I guess it is very common to be deficient in Vitamin D?

Boy - I am really putting off doing anything. Ha, ha
