Well to be honest before when I was here I mostly just posted in the Army thread & long term abstainers, So after my absence and when I thought i would come back I said to myself, self. You need to post everywhere were you might be of help.

Just share what I went through its bound to help & encourage others who were just like me when I came here, It was starting over who was the first person who answered my cry for help and then one2many, So hence I am out there spreading the how doing you word...

Hello troops! Nice to see you!

Believe it or not, this is not my first time in the army thread. I did post a few years ago before I vanished from MWO. It is lovely to see the people that have so many days (sometimes years) under their belts. The common thread that I seem to notice is they are happy to be sober and not dreaming of having another drink (moderating etc.). This is the first attempt for me at actually quitting! No more! Fertig! Enough!

Yep being sober is most definitely a happier place. Of course we have some of the same issues but we also have the opportunity to solve them if we are not pissed

Much better day for me today and had a meeting with one of the co heads who has inspired me with their plans for the co.

Glad you had a better day, Starty. Nice going into the weekend with some positives from work.

My day on the sofa with the dawg didn't materialise til after 1pm. Decided to clear some of boxes in the son and heir's bedroom. They were mostly full of my crap. I did find a voucher that Mr JC got for his birthday and my hat. The rest was just went a bin bag labelled 'why on earth did we keep that stuff'.

Mad those ups and downs will level out in time. Xmas is I bit crap for worry but doing it sober is sooooo much better

I was here from 2008 originally and did 6 years sober but think I wandered away from here around 2014 I think which was a bad move osteroops:

Welcome Mads..completely normal feeling, it will pass and in the morning you will have a clear head, and another day under your belt and further away from 'those days'. Nearly 3 weeks, you are really on the way now, well done.:yay:

I would like to turn my house upside down and shake everything out, then only bring in what we need. May need several skips..
