OK I have been told. I shall post each morning even if I have nowt to say

Anyway, today is a day to celebrate. 12 weeks or 84 days. I seem to remember being a bit flat at my prev 3 month mark. However this time I know what to expect if it happens. Things I am noticing are I am not completely and utterly drained at the end of each week, I have lost 10 pounds, I do not feel guilty about stuff, things make me laugh and things make me cry, boredom is something I can do something about and I feel a bit farty. Anyone else get stomach issues?

Hi Mary - I was sober Oct 1- Dec 15ish in 2013 (until I let the anxiety of not drinking at Christmas build up so much that I just gave in). I've done a few 30 days since too. I do feel different this time as I have finally accepted that I CAN NOT MODERATE!

Starty - congrats on 12 weeks - absolutely fantastic.

Eek - I was going to write some more but a big drip of blood just landed on my laptop Nosebleed.... gotta go.

But as you brought it up.. Can I ask if the colour/texture of ones ahem.. (rhymes with moo), scared them during the drinking days? Blackishy greenish, loose, my face is contorting as I type.

Same. Managed 30 days on 2 occasions. Made moderation plans on a weekly basis. Well, I suppose we have to go through these motions to know that the wine is just not for us.

I read your Mojo thread Wine-no, and not for the 1st time, I can relate to so much of your story, drinking hubby (he stopped recently), never drank in the morning, kids, job.. - plus your the same age as I was when I started last year! snap.
You are doing great. Keep chatting here, tis Friday and we have no hangover to look forward to tomorrow, YAY!

Hi Guys

I'm fine thanks. Nosebleed has stopped! I went for a little snooze and now feel... knackered ahum, I mean full of beans!

I had a deep tissue massage earlier and it seems to stir everything up and I end feeling really tired and groggy but amazing the next day! She mentioned that my kidneys were doing a lot of work trying to get rid of the toxins from the stomach flu bug that I've had. I didn't mention that I'd quit drinking...

Off to watch a bit of telly and drink loads of water. Back later x
