Ha I remember years ago I worked in a steel factory in Dublin & every year at Christmas there was a huge drinks Christmas party down in the local bar which was beside the canal.

One year a man (who I know now obviously had mental problems) throw himself into canal at the end of the party, My father saved him by jumping in to the freezing water, When my da went out to his house to give him back his clothes his children said are you the man my daddy saved...

When I look back on my drinking life there is some very cringe embarrassing stuff I got up to, I scarlet even writing this lol lol

Cringing and wincing.........still do now and again........it but its getting better.

Nothing free when I worked in the bank, Starty...........surprised they didn't put a service charge on the tickets.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Morning folks, its been a bit of a hectic week. One of my dogs is very sick, several visits to the vets and being kept in overnight on two occasions but he is home for today, back down again in the morning though.

Fantastic course at the buddhist centre. All about how our mindset is within our control. Such simplicity but truth. I loved it and practising the teaching will benefit all sorts of areas of my life including addiction. Mr S seemed to really enjoy it too. However He bought himself TWO bottles of wine on the way home :haha:

Hi Ladies, quick post as I have the dinner on, sorry if its a downer post, but in answer to how my dog is unfortunately at nearly 13 yrs old it is unlikely he would survive the operation so not an option. He is comfortable enough right now though, on painkillers, 2 types of antibiotic, steroids and calpol +6. Has actually perked up a bit today and is eating a tiny bit and drinking so that is good. No way I will let him suffer and we have an early appointment in the morning.

Ahh Tabbers, love. Know exactly what you mean. One of the hardest calls I've ever made was to the vet for our Dylan, but I could see in his eyes and knew in my heart I was doing the right thing.
