Your not lying starts your just not telling the truth.
Sometimes being open & honest & up front with people is not the way to go if its going to do more harm than good, And in your case you have to put yourself first as a stronger clean starts is better for everyone in the bigger picture. You can explain to them this time next year when your going into your 2nd year clean, and yis will all laugh about it.

I still think about drinking all the time. Not in a craving way, but In other ways - like imagining situations, imagined conversations, sometimes what it tasted like.
Is that normal??
Bits of things on over Christmas but if I'm around, would be up for a meet.AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:

Evening.
How many times have you been into work absolutely proper poorly, Starty. Let the guilt go.
Jealous.com of the meetup.
Was supposed to be at work today but the staff meeting was called off so went to do a bit of shopping............its so mild and the shops so hot I'm feeling sickly now.
Often wonder what it tastes like, Mers. Mr JC was having a wee snifter of a whiskey from the Isle of Skye so I had a sniff...........smelt wonderful, wouldn't dream of drinking it. We're surrounded by the damned stuff this time of year bet for the next few days it'll be dentists.
There's an advert on TV that's driving me nuts at the moment............picture a row of spirits, gin, voddy, rum etc...........all £15 per litre it shouts............then in teeny weeny writing underneath............please drink responsibly. FFS.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Hi all,
I am well jell about the meetup tooI could do with a cuppa with some lovely sober peeps.
Still feeling a bit shite about missing work and telling porkies but it is getting easier. Gawd I really put myself trhough stupid shite at times. I have NEVER EVER pulled a sickie and have been in work on my knees so yep that does make me feel better.
I hear ya on the sniffing scotch JC the thought does cross my mind to want to have it. Especially today with a not great feeling in my gut
Mary I think its good we constantly think about it. When we forget it gets dangerous. Think I am going to treat myself to Rain in my heart tonight as a gentle reminder

Wouldn't have dreamt of having a sniff in the early years. I actually hate, loathe, detest the taste of whiskey. Think I've had a swig out of a bottle prolly twice as it was the nearest thing at hand when I got the shakes in the morning. It could be worse, I could be filing.

Whiskey....that stuff is damn fighting fuel. I would maybe have 2 or 3 a year. Beer and wine (mainly) was the staple diet.
Starty! Good move. No guilt required on that one. You smart cookie.
Have a gr8 weekend everyone.

Late check-in folks.
This student malarkey is quite tiring I think......... seem to be just sitting around reading, sleeping and writing fecking essays about the Greeks - who are quite fascinating actually.
Our tutor is quite mad actually - she's one of these academic types - all standy up hair & pullovers. But I love listening to her ramble on & on .....
