Glad theres a few others cranky with the Mr.. Mine is out there drinking whiskey (good times didnt last), and thats fine, but have the cousins here on a sleepover and he is SO noisy! there is no toning down the conversation - they should all be asleep by now though,

Interesting Satz on the lunch yesterday, was everyone on the sauce? so boring.
Although I did meet 2 friends last night, in a 'well heeled' spot - only one friend had a glass of wine, so that didnt bother me, it was the glamour of the 'ladies who lunch' around me, all with their glasses of Chardonnay and salads and perfectly groomed hair and handbags that could pay my mortgage - that made me have a longing..because clearly me on the piss would morph into one of these 'perfect' people. Then this very drunk middle aged man came over and was talking absolute shite, so that quashed my fantasy..

Hope your feeling better JC. Good news on the hip for Starts! 4 of my aunts have had it done and all rave about it.

My sis and BIL will be in bits tomorrow when they pickup the kids, assuming they are sober enough to drive - so Im looking forward to that. :devildevil:

Have to concur.

Humans are the ONLY animal that runs for 'fun'. Every other animal only runs to catch food or escape being food!

What about swimming Starty.....much gentler.

I have to disagree with you there Kuya. My doggers run for fun too

The problem with swimming for me is I would get my hair wet and it would be a pain in the arse to have to keep blow drying it after swimming. (naturally it looks like a bad Janis Joplin) also I run with my doggers and we all love it.

I am speaking with a personal trainer in the week, she thinks she will be able to give me some advice as she knows folk with similar problems who have overcome them and been able to run again. She also has arthritis so feeling more hopeful.

Same here Mers. Had nephew & GF stay over here after a wedding.
Mr S was out last night too : all chirpy ......... that will change later.
The air at breakfast was at least 70% proof :haha:
