Didn't say last week but one of the key workers was in a really bad car smash and not likely to survive her injuries...........found out today she's sitting up and talking and will probably be home for the New Year. A long way to go with but it was a very happy office today.

Great story! Like Starty, also heard a similar story recently. It makes me hate driving.

Has everyone finished their shopping and is anyone completely ready to relax and enjoy the break? I am Just 4 more days of stressful work and then chill and I cannot wait!!

Yes . Almost done, few little bits then the big food shop on Friday because we are all going to get snowed in for approximately 4 months so need ample supplies.

I was asked again over the weekend by my nephew - I just looked all zen-like, smiled and said I LOVE not drinking. He was in awe. His mother is the infamous SIL I go on hols with and he gives her a hard time about drinking. He remembers what we were like when we drank together.

Have to say, I was him a few years ago. What was life without booze, completely empty and thought non drinkers were terribly odd. I love being odd now.

Morning Army - hope everyone is well and happily heading into the silly season?
Young Satz drink problem reared it's ugly head again.
A text from GF to say she was worried he was about to relapse ..... he's stopped going to AA meetings and was kinda just barely hanging in there in her opinion.
My heart lurched when I saw the test come in. It was an actual pain ....
Then I hardened my heart and said 'NO' - I will not let him ruin another Christmas for us. Covering up / no-one able to drink / unpredictable behaviour.
He will not be welcome here if he is drinking - end of.
