Delighted for you Satz that young Satz was OK. What a relieve !

Jayzus, all of a sudden there was a cry from my posh sister in law "You two!!! There is a deposit in the study!" He had appeared to walk around the room while doing it too so made sure he left no doubt as to what he thinks of Christmas :haha:

My brother is quite a stressy and reactive chap which did not help

Other than that it was a nice day, so pleased to be home though!!

My bro offered us some champers when we arrived. Me "no thanks, I am driving" Then we sit down to our meal and my bro offers me wine Me again "no thanks I am driving" Him in a shocked tone "Oh, will you not have one then" Me. "err no, I am DRIVING!" grrrr

It was fine though, we went out for a nice walk and then came home early.

One more little tale of the naught lurcher. My SILs father who is not very with it had Fen sitting by him at the table and Fen licked his bread roll! That caused a few shrieks too
Last year after we finished the meal and had left the dining room he sneaked back in walked across the table leaving muddy paw prints over their white table cloth! No one saw or heard him, just saw the evidence of his efforts

Today is called St Stephens day in Ireland, Just thought I share that, haven't a clue why :-) ha ha

I had a lovely Christmas day, I was in my mothers house all morning with my very big family, They were all drinking & eating but it was a good atmosphere, We all went to my sisters for Christmas dinner, lots of us, I had got a plan to escape asap just after dinner, as most of my family would be heavy drinkers.

It turned out to be a very good and funny and quite enjoyable night, got a bit loud but it was grand and I delighted I stayed as I could actually talk to family members who I don't usually see or talk to very much.

Ha Molly. My daughter referred to today as Boxing Day and she had a choras of corrections, she won't make that mistake again!
Mario - are they all dying today? I can't wait for the update on my lot, they haven't surfaced yet (we came home and had dinner here).
Having a gang here today. Reheating mostly but might do this for the veggie. Starry, it's a lovely one, I've make it so many times. Travels well too.

Morning on St Stephen's Day or Boxing Day or please will someone tell me what day of the week it actually is.

Didn't half laugh at Fen. Bonnie (our first rescue) had a habit of leaving a deposit if she wasn't being paid the attention she thought she should have.


Got 10 for lunch today. Buffet style.........tell you what tomorrow's jammie day and a tin of soup......Could be 12 if Ma and Pa in law arrive. MIL's been feeling a bit tired to be expected and 91 and gets overwhelmed if its too noisy.


I was staggered when I saw the news last night. Just put my head in my hands.

Another couch potato, they are not long gone.
Lots of wine drunk by them all, had a few butterfly's in my tummy moments.. Then it passed.

Think I'll go and straighten the line on the Christmas cake.

Morning all, I too had a lovely relaxed day yesterday. Met up with Chillgirl yesterday morning and had a great time. It is so lovely that we met through MWO and have known each other since 2009 and still great friends.

Today I am going on two walks. One with Mr Starts and all the doggers then a longer one with some friends and just one dogger. My old dog Fudge cannot make the longer distance so we are taking her early so that she doesnt miss out and also wont have to stay home alone.

I have REALLY enjoyed this Christmas, doing more or less what I wanted, lots of seeing friends for dog walks which means drinks are out of the equation and absolutely no sitting around making small talk. The most enjoyable one I have had for years
