I myself have a plan to, I am going to treat chocolate ,biscuits cakes, ice cream, as I did alcohol, As I need to stop being a glutton with it, moderation of eating it does not work for me & having just one is not working, So I going abstinence on it completely, wish me luck & strenght as I know its going to be hard.

        Morning lovelies,
Its the best way, marioooooo. When I did Slimming World we were allowed a teeny bit of chocolate and a teeny weeny bit of cheese. Just cut the two out..........it was a lot easier.

        Another Bank Holiday here.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

              oh and morning AAA'ers

Anyone out there lurking - please post . We love new people that add to the diversity of the group.
This is where you will get great support - no matter what stage you are at.
We all started with that first post.

I was still actively drinking when I posted and eventually the penny dropped - that I wanted to be like the happy sober people on here.
I will celebrate 4 years alcohol free this year - and believe me - NO-ONE is more in awe of that than me & my family ......

Hi Mario, I have but one resolution and that is to let the healing process begin, mind and body are both screaming for it, at least that's how it feels to me.
Good luck with giving up the sugary crap, TG I never had a sweet tooth, now savoury snacks is a different matter entirely.
Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

I never had a sweet tooth until I quit the alcohol. Now if I have one chocolate - I binge.
I suppose we know which is easier to beat ......
(though FFS - sugar is EVERYWHERE )

I am an angry man with a plan to stop the madness JC. I have done months sober before and I can do it again of this I am certain. The hard part will come in staying clean weeks or months down the line. I have been here a long time now and must have read tens of thousands of posts down the years, the stories, words of advice, plans of action and experiences of others all mean nothing unless I accept this for what it is and want it more than ever before. And I have and do. Let day 2 commence.

I am laughing at the amount of peeps that collect hair. I forgot to add that I have a number of other envelopes with hair too. A pony I had when I was a child, hair from a some dogs that have passed, a few teeth from puppies and kittens. I wonder what folk wiill think when they clear out my stuff after I pop my clogs :haha:

Sugar abstinence is happening in our house too. It is amazing the similarities it has with drinking. The feelings of being out of control and needing to stop but not able to.
