Morning all. Feeling a bit better I think (mentally) physically still struggling a bit. After the stress of yesterday a fleeting thought of a bottle of wine passed my mind or a trip to the chemist. I did not act on it though. A few tough weeks ahead but hopefully my mental state will be better. All good thoughts welcome

Hi Starty, I am glad you are feeling better, you can begin to put this whole episode behind you now and move forward. Dunno about words of wisdom but I would say any fleeting thoughts are just that, we don't need to act on our stupid thoughts. Remembering the shit that happened when we were drinking is every bit as powerful as the monkey in our brain screaming for attention.
Above all remember to be kind to yourself, you are so worth it.

Evening all -- from very pretty Norn Iron!! What a gorgeous spot - just back from the pool and spa area - feet up on amazing huge luxurious bed with a hot chocolate and home-made cake.... wow --- feeling spoilt!!

Didnt go to work today - youngest sick.. just had a lazy day (despite word getting out that I was at home so could I do X and Y.. I politely declined, too busy reading in bed with my barking ball of fire beside me).

Starty, will there still be repercussions after this HR issue or is it business as usual that will make the next few weeks tough? I know the new manager is starting at the end of the month.
Sounds to be like you are through the worst, despite having to endure it all being so poorly. You are tougher than you think Missus and an inspiration to anyone going though a bad spot. As you said, its all temporary, the good and the bad. :hug:

I'm sorry your wee one's poorly, Mers. Sod 'em at work. When I went back to work just before the son and heir was 3. I'd only been there about a fortnight............ he had the most almighty ear infection and stinker of a cold. I just had to ring in and say I couldn't and wouldn't be in. They were so understanding ..............I was expecting the push..........mind you I only got paid hourly so my first pay was a bit short.
