I’m grateful for an afternoon of sunshine!!
Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

I’m grateful to see you are still here cowboy. Thanks for staying strong and being a great role model to so many of us.

I have been struggling with being al free for 9 years now, and still the fight goes on. Too embarrassed to talk about my story anymore, just know we all admire those of you who have kept the faith and remained al free. You have found answers I still need to find, I want to be like you but my will power closet is so empty. I’m grateful you do not judge me for my failure.

May god bless you and keep you strong.

Allen Carr’s book changed everything for me. The easyway to control alcohol. Highly recommended

I'm grateful too that hazeleyes and daisy45 have remembered MWO as a safe place and perhaps find a way to get & remain sober.
The living proof is here in those of us who were slipping & sliding in and out of 'the pit' too but eventually got there to the edge & got out.

There are many here who will extend the hand that will help you too but you have to want it more than anything else in life !

I remember a statement from Denzel Washington (USA) Actor, who said “when I gave up alcohol, a world of opportunity opened up to me”. I hold on to this some days to stay focused on my al free goal. I’m grateful for the positive messages on here.

Grateful that my knee doesn’t usually hurt this much! I strained and then overdid my artificial knee. I was starting to take mobility for granted.

We're here to help, Daisy. Perhaps you could connect with a MWO pal in your time zone by text? Or hang out here online when you want a drink? I'm so sorry that getting back to where you were is such a struggle, but remember that YOU ARE WORTH IT

Grateful that my detox/cleansing weeks for the month are over, and that waxing full moon is done now and waning! I feel much better already.

Not intending any disrespect to those who are affected by mass shootings, but I'm grateful for living in a rural country town where a mass killing refers to the bugs on your windshield...
