Day was beautiful here too. Didn't accomplish much outside though as still a bit of confusion during withdrawal

But am grateful I made it to day 7 through alot of temptation but not only that ,ditched cigarettes as well and 4 days without a Valium but the Val doesn't concern me if I need one. It's the first 2 that worry me the most

I am grateful for the brave people who tell about their personal stories of addiction and recovery. People who write books and who write here on this forum.

I am grateful to be alive in Ireland where the weather never throws up any extremes!

MrS moaned this morning " what a horrible day" because we had rain.
I had to politely tell him there are people who would LOVE to walk out in the soft Irish rain.
Hospital patients, drought victims , Flood victims.

Gratitude is what I feel, and a sense of relief. I saw a news headline first thing this morning that there was a drunk driver who plowed into a crowd watching a Mardis Gras parade in New Orleans Mid-City. 28 were injured, both children and adults. I am so sorry for all the victims but grateful that my daughter and grandson who were enjoying Mardis Gras, were not among them. I pray for them and for the driver who has hell to go thru, starting this morning. I'm grateful to be sober and hangover free this morning. There but for the grace of God....
