Grateful for the changing of the seasons. Come on Spring!Dill
Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!
If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

Tonight I'm grateful for the Lenten season. It gives me a chance to sacrifice something, no where near the sacrifice that Our Lord gave, Himself, so that we may be saved...Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Re: Express your Gratitude
I too am grateful for the Lenten season. Instead of giving up something, I try to give more of a focus on things I can do for others and focus on the blessings in my life. I try to spend more time in prayer and reflection. It's hard in a busy day to find time, so that's where I will place my efforts this Lent.Dill

Re: Express your Gratitude
I'm grateful that my friend has decided to go to a 30 day treatment program. I'm praying that he will be able to be alcohol free by the time he turns 70 in April, and that he will have many healthy years to come.Dill

Tonight I grateful for the members who struggle, falter, get up again to move forward. You know they want lasting sobriety because they keep coming back, and that will be a reason why they'll eventually get there...Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking.
