Tonight I'm grateful that between the farm boss and I, we found my lost phone!Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Re: Express your Gratitude
lloydlady, glad to see you back! I was wondering earlier today if you would return. The last I saw you was in the middle of that horrible hack. Your post where you asked what happened to ABC and why did he leave. I then started noticing the strange things going on and before I could reply to you, the hack shut me out!
Welcome, Ramey!
I'm grateful for the kindness of strangers. Most of the time bad behavior and cruelty get the notice, especially on the news. But I see so many more quiet acts of kindness and shared smiles throughout the day. They way outnumber the bad!Last edited by dill; May 7, 2017, 02:43 PM.Dill
Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!
If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

Tonight I'm grateful that I watched an exciting hockey game without drinking a cold beer (or lots of beers)! The beer commercials had no effect on me either!
But what I'm really grateful for is the Oilers won!!Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...

Re: Express your Gratitude
I'm grateful for a beautiful day. Ending it with acoustic guitar by Eric Clapton.
:welcome: Ramey really glad you've joined us. Our sobriety~recovery journeys are strengthened together. Your attitude of gratitude towards your sobriety, is at least half the battle. You have awesome gratitude Ramey.
PanhandleKim Took in plenty of fresh air for all of us. It's a busy~busy time of year for you. I remember this season in my life. Grateful to read of your gratitude. Knowing with out doubt that you wouldn't be able to accomplish everything you need to, if you were still drinking. Your kids, hubs are also appreciative of your sobriety. Be proud of yourself. Hopefully, very soon you can have time to just breath. It's important in recovery to practice self care. Maybe a massage. Anything that helps with relaxation. A small reward. You deserve this. :triumphant:
