I'm grateful we bought the bigger wading pool (8' diameter by 2' high) for Hank at the farm. We both fit in it, together!

Tonight I'm grateful that I stocked up on a/c repair parts and Freon before this heat wave hit! [MENTION=7944]dill[/MENTION] we have a Canadian thing we call humidex which changes things. 29 feels like 35 for example. When the humidity is low open the windows. (I HATE BIRDS at 5 am). What an AC does is take out humidity and drop air temperature at an obvious cost in energy. I take my amp meter and read what it runs on fan 143w, on compressor 900w. Its a 10,000 btu window shaker. Its complete overkill for my bedroom so mostly it runs at 143w. Noticable difference walking out of the room. Being an alcoholic prior, past, current at times our lungs process this differently. Chemically induced pneumonia. The sudden change in humidity is insane if you have asthma or are a smoker. What I do with central air is different for customers but my father is to cheap to do what I recommend as a gas and ac tech. I hit a low point in life so this is all I can do at the moment.
Grateful I have a space where I can breathe properly and cool down.

Grateful for a trip to a state park with my brother today. I used to visit this park frequently, but haven't been for several years.My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.Comment

Dill, I planted 4 O'Clocks this year for the first time. They will need to compete with a lot of forget-me-nots for re-seeding.
