Re: Express your Gratitude

Grateful after work today had mani and pedi. Grateful for not feeling guilty. Normally do my own, but decided I deserved a treat.

dill - Without a guide who's an expert, I wouldn't eat them either. They may look so similar, but one may be poisonous. Like you read about Ink Cap ones. Not suppose to have them, but I can't give up everything. I also use baby bella's (cremni) in omelettes. Layered with spinach, bell peppers, onions, cheese and sometimes deli meat or bacon. Afraid if I gave up every thing I shouldn't have, I'd go into deprivation mode and have a pity party. Which may lead back to alcohol. I just won't buy any mushroom supplements in capsules. Won't over do with live mushrooms. Trying MCT in coffee again. Am not googling if bad for auto immune. Lol

Don't know why were all so tired. Know for self giving up ciggs along with alcohol is a big part of it. Yet, I have talked to people who are 10-20 yrs younger and their exhausted to.. Will have to savor the good days and tell ourselves better days are arriving soon. It's been a long day and my eyes are so dry. Having a hard time concentrating. Feel bad when I don't get on MWO and connect with our group of friends. Love how you mention what a gift we give ourselves each day, by not drinking poisonous/ethanol. A big reason I love MWO. Only MWO taught me that alcohol isn't a reward. Just the opposite. Learned here over the years that being contented in sobriety is a big key to success.

Yes - yes!.. "Prayers for the people of Puerto Rico and Domenica and everyone in the path of Maria. Prayers for the earthquake victims of Mexico City." Too many natural disasters going on. Lets all keep praying!!!.... People need hope!... Hope Jose pushes Maria back out to sea.

:welcome: jenjen - Were so glad you found us!.. If you have any questions please ask. Every one here is really nice. Different stages of quits and sobriety. No body judges us. We just want to support each other on this journey. It helps to connect with others who understand, ones who've suffered with addiction. Look forward to getting to know you better.

catch22 - Thank you for answering back. Am excited for you!... I use to think of taking accounting. Years ago, managed apt complex and did the book work. Also as bar mgr did some accounting work. Find this work interesting. I bet your going to do great!.... Hope your hot coco was soothing. Warms the belly and taste so good. Hope you receive good sleep.

empyr3al - Your bird show sounds very cool!.. Would love to see your pics if you were able to get a shot. Gigantic heart shape would be spectacular. Thankful they didn't fly into airplane engines. When I have more down time, like to open a third party image site. Would like to share some pics to. Not willing to pay photo bucket.

      Heyya Wildflowers

The Canadian Forces Snowbirds are small jets funded by the Canadian government. Snowbirds - Wikipedia Due for replacement in the next couple years at up to 1.5$ billion. abcowboy would know what they are.

^^^ They shaped a heart and come within feet of each other in some cases inches when crossing its pretty crazy and pilots have in the past died.

Horrible camera on my phone for digital zoom. Some images cropped and compressed to heck for the board.

More Photo's uploaded today to the weather network. Uploaded shots by people on theweathernetwork.com A little more professional. It was 29celcius today + humidex so it felt like 34c. Clear sky, no wind, just around dinner time so the school kids could all see it. This was the high-fly aerobatic routine in optimal conditions, so the best show you could hope for other than the heat!

I'll get the Canada Geese you probably thought I was referring to later this fall.

@empyral3 - Oh wow so very Yes, I was confused. Thought you were talking about geese and planes. Thank you for clarifying. Big thanks for those awesome pics!!.. They turned out great Empy!.... Luv them!... The first pic does look like geese in the air. The heart pilots formed is awesome!.. Your Canadian Forces Snowbirds are similar to our Blue Angels. Blue Angels - Wikipedia Saw them perform yrs ago at the fair grounds. It was super cool. Really dangerous what they both do.

Look fwd to seeing pics of your Canadian Geese this fall. Think maybe abcowboy posted pics once. Think he has pet names. Can't member at the moment. Hope you have a great day tom.

You got some great pics with your phone Empy! I've been fortunate enough to see both the Snowbirds and Angels air performances!

I'm grateful for all the members of our Armed Forces and the sacrifices they make to keep our countries safe...

And yes Wildflowers, we have Harry & Harriet and Gertrude & Gus return each spring for nesting. At least I think it's the same pair as they return each spring! Goose hunting season is on right now and I just hope our pair get safely back south and are able to return next spring!

@drill I can't believe the hurricane are so bad. Watching the news last night my partner said there tracking you down got a bit paranoid of my name.
Grateful today that I have a loving partner who understands my head thinking.

Great pics, empyr3al! Thanks. And thanks for the video abcowboy. I have never seen the Blue Angels perform live. It's a bit silly really bc we live fairly close to an AFB and a city that puts on an air show each summer. But I never go bc I don't like crowd situations and also because it is usually the hottest weather of the summer!

Grateful for another productive day around here. I'm getting a lot done! Nothing earth-shattering, just stuff that needed doing....that I had been putting off. Procrastination? What?!!! Me?!!:egad:

I'm grateful over the last two wks I have met five strangers. All beautiful caring people. Grateful there is still so much good going on in this world. There have been times it doesn't seem this way. Grateful prayers are answered.

abcowboy - Very cool video. Thank you!... Was eating lunch and felt a just wee bit dizzy. Lol We are also very grateful for our armed forces!... Support our Veterans!... Awesome that you've seen both teams perform!... I hope your Geese come home safe to nest to!... Great names ABC! They are amazing creatures. They look out for their own. Saw this movie long time ago. Fly Away Home. Good movie.

empyr3al - As Empy said it's very dangerous and pilots have perished. Hope your day is going well!...

dill - Understand. Doubt I'd gone if I hadn't been much younger. Don't care for crowds either or high heat. Its loud as well. Tho, had wanted to go to state fair this yr. Has been a couple decade (I think). Wanted to see the animals, gardens, rodeo and eat junk food. Am supposed to be getting more done too. I'll get to it. Lol. Think were too hard our our selves sometimes. Your funny. Thanks for making us

catch22 - Have had to stop watching the news and weather channel for a while. Understand your head thinking. Have it to. My hubs doesn't understand, but think by now accepts it. Use to have a sponsor who said some of us have loop thinking. Mine seems to have become better as I age and put my trust in God. Read you on Army a couple days ago. Praying for you!.... You will get through your new challenges, with out headaches. Do you mind me asking your age? Understand if you decline. NP

little beagle - Always a pleasure to see you!... Glad meditation is helpful. Hope you feel lighter soon. Yes... gratitude really does help us all, like dill said.

satz123 - Was thinking of you recently. Miss your humor and wisdom. Glad you came back!... Funny, how many of us understand each other so well. I to need to be around like minded people. Was at store after work yes and oh boy did I want a ciggie, then drink popped into head. Have been in pain and exhausted. Thought of everyone at MWO and AA/NA who get my head. Knowing you all understand. Made it home took OTC.

dill, it's a good idea to be leary of wild mushrooms! Better safe than sorry! After all, they can be deadly! I am a newby mushroomer, but I have learned that ink caps are okay, if a bit on the delicate side.Your pic looks to be a shaggy main. I'm not all that anxious to try 'em myself. Cows and hens on the other hand! and abcowboy, I will be honored to share morel mushrooms with you! but first I gotta find 'em! Glad to see all are still alive and kicking here! <3

With mushrooms I tend to watch people who have experience pick them. Mushrooms are enormous underground, one being miles in size underground. BBC - Earth - The largest living thing on Earth is a humongous fungus The last I thought the largest was in Michigan. I know of one enormous field of grass that grows what we call the shaggy mushroom like you photo'd. They are edible as far as I know or atleast a part is. Hearty and nutty I was told they taste like. For me I just heed lots of caution because who knows if the field was sprayed with pesticide or anything else. Mushrooms are like sponges!
