Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

It's been a bit of a stressful day here but I'm happy to say that I will not be adding to my troubles by muddying things up with alcohol! I'm so grateful for a clear head as I head into the evening.

Darn it dill, your fudge brownies made me crave chocolate, so I had a frozen Oreo ice cream sandwich!

But I am grateful I no longer crave alcohol!

I'm grateful that I have the opportunity to be staying by my grandparents and to help them....even though they are helping me more than they know.

And of course my newly acquired love of cake! Thanks Grandma

With the sudden drop in temperatures and blustery wind today, I'm grateful for our wood stove.. That warmth is so wonderful!

                    Re: Express your Gratitude

Today I am grateful for the progress my son is making in his recovery. I feel like he is returning to us a little bit more each day and I thank God for each step forward. When a loved one falls prey to serious addiction they are physically present but they are physically and spiritually fading as the disease progresses. It is excruciating to watch and be helpless to do anything. But all through the darkness I prayed and I waited and I hoped.

The love we have for our children has no end dill, your love, prayers, and support for your son will not go unnoticed, nor will they be in vain. I'll join in with the rest on adding my thoughts and prayers, for him, and for you....

I'm grateful for my children, they are far from perfect, just like their dad, but they are healthy and happy, and that's all I can ask for...

I finally got to listen to the song (and lyrics) that Inthesky mentioned in her Nest post. All I did was change the word "someone" to "something" and it fit me like a glove.... I'm glad it gave Sky the strength to say no when she needed it most...

I'm grateful for the music that I like to listen to, it never fails to lift my spirits..

Thanks AB for being there for me and showing me the WE CAN attitude:thumbsup:

I'm grateful that my higher power was looking out for me yesterday and that a song I hadn't heard in over 20 years brought me back to sticking with my goal! Life humbles you sometimes.

I'm grateful tonight for so many things! One of which is the kitten we got for our grandkids that seems to be so therapeutic for them. I'm a dog person but in any event, I am grateful for pets and the calming effect they have in our lives.
