Re: Express your Gratitude

I'm hoping your pity party has come to an early end, Jude! Great idea coming on here and focusing on gratitude. I hope it helped.

Sunbeam, I love it when the corn is high on both sides of a country road and I'm gliding along on my bike. Have you ever had the chance to walk in a corn field in September when the corn plants are brown. It's really kind of magical.

I'm grateful my dog smells like a dog once again and not like a skunk!

Last night and again this morning I heard the coyotes singing from the hills surrounding me. (sounds like a line from the Sound of Music movie:happy2 I'm so grateful to live in an area which is abundant with wildlife, and I feel very privileged.

Yesterday, I was driving a client who has dementia to a doctor's appointment in Syracuse. Anyway, I ended up driving the wrong way on a one way street, and in frustration, dropped a couple of F bombs. I'm grateful that she is unlikely to remember it. :egad:

I'm grateful for you Cowboy, for your willingness to share about your journey and your willingness to offer unending support to others. It also bears repeating that I am grateful for everyone that posts thoughts of gratitude. I get something positive from each and every one!

Ah, but I’m no different from anyone else who posts on these threads dill, we all have our own way of supporting, learning, and growing as we continue our individual journeys. Even though we may take different paths, some longer, some shorter, we are all headed in the same direction... I’m grateful to be a part of this family that we call MWO...

Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

I've really come to enjoy Sunday mornings, any morning for that matter, but especially Sunday. Not long ago I'd be watching the clock to see when it would be acceptable to have a few beers to clear the cobwebs from my brain!

I'm grateful to be here and af this evening. I've been thinking off and on all day about something cowboy said about each slip/relapse being harder than the last to recover from. I think there may be something to that. I think it would be easy to just give up and give in. But that is NOT what I want for myself. So I'll not be throwing in the towel. I'll just put in the effort and get back on track. Looking forward to tomorrow and waking up without a hangover!

Grateful to be leaving in the early a.m. for a week of vacation in a warmer clime. Snowstorm is coming tomorrow night, but we will be gone!

Hey, satz123, the raffle my gson won was the St Brigid's Irish Raffle! I guess we had a bit of the luck of the Irish! LOL Was wondering if you have ever read any Maeve Binchy novels? I think she was an incredible writer. I'm reading Whitethorn Woods at the moment.

Grateful for good books!
