I’m grateful for all the First Responders and members on the Armed Forces who are doing their best to battle these forest fires and keeping people safe at the same time.
Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

      Re: Express your Gratitude

I am so grateful for the dream that I had last night about deciding to drink again and was about to go out and drink was just a dream.
I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.

Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.

Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.

I am grateful to be waking up to tiredness - knowing it's 'real' tiredness from work .............. not from alcohol.

I'm grateful for the support on this site and for being sober this evening.

Dont forget, you can: start late, start over, be unsure, try and fail AND STILL SUCCEED!

If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you will find an excuse.

I am grateful for the fun that I had at the baseball game and being sober. No hangover for this girl and no regrets ether.

I'm grateful for the promise of another day af. The only one who can take that away from me is myself, and I'm not going to!:happy2:

I am grateful to not have listened to my AL demons thus far and now I feel stronger in my quit. Not drinking again. If my friends do not like it then I guess we won't be hanging out anymore.

I'm grateful for Hank's new vet, and all the staff at the Vet Clinic. They all love Hank and treat him so well!

Do your friends nag you Drifty ? Are they saying you are less fun ?
That can be a pain - but don't allow them to weaken you - most likely they are jealous of your resolve.
In my case it was my sister & my SIL.
Both have admitted since they'd LOVE to stop drinking

Today I'm grateful for the colours that Autumn is bringing.

I am grateful to face another Friday night and staying home this week. Grateful to have another sober night as long as I do not listen to my AL demon which is getting weaker by the day.
