Rusty - I shouldn't have done it because there are a couple of people from work that are Facebook friends. But, I HAD to post that cover on Facebook too. :rotlf:

SK - how fun with the treasure hunt. I think it's so cute that she has her own shelf. I missed some posts so how close do you live to her? Can she come over often? How old is she - I'm sorry but I forgot. Are things better with your daughter?

Nora-I know what you mean. Of 75 current clients, 3 of them are "friends" on Facebook. I told myself that NONE of my clients would ever be Facebook friends, but TBT...I did not know how to say "no" to them when they asked to "friend" me.
OK, are we ready for the World of Gross and World of Funny? So, I have been watching The Puppy Bowl...the pre-game show for the Super Bowl, and this Puppy Bowl news reporter had a blind guinea pig on his shoulder...with the guinea pig's butt to the audience. All of a sudden, this stream of yucky urine/feces just squirts our of this guinea pig's behind and immediately, the camera cuts to the anchorwoman who says something like, "Yuck, OOH...how did that happen??" LOL. Oh yeah, more TMI. HahahaLast edited by Rusty; February 5, 2017, 04:03 PM.

Liz - I hope the plans fall into place soon! I'll bet you are exhausted today.
WF - How did your anniversary go? I hope that you had a wonderful time.
Pauly - isn't it weird how you can suddenly just get sick when you see alcohol? I do that sometimes too. Not always but I do. Anxious to hear how the food sensitivity kit goes. Do you have to do a sample and mail it in?
Oh - got to run. Mom is awake and I'm going to wash her hair."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

I'm back. Got her hair washed and she said it feels so much better.
Oh Rusty - you are going to be so sorry you asked.
I really need to find a good Alzheimer's caretaker support group. I need to make myself sit down and try to get comfortable at a support group.
But, I'll share a little here. Mom is definitely in the late stages of Alzheimer's. The Doctor had noted that last year but I didn't think it was that advanced. She is having more trouble communicating now. She can't find the word to tell me what she wants/needs. She is having periods of not sleeping, periods of being in the past, periods of experiencing things (dreaming?) and thinking they are still happening.
But, with all of that, we are so very blessed. She is still able to walk with her walker. She is still eating. She is happy. She knows she is loved.Last edited by NoraC; February 5, 2017, 05:47 PM."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Forgot to thank you for Feb start up & great image. Nora, I had three kids living here at one time. Was working for a giant outdoor clothing & foot wear Co. Come home at 8:00 with groceries. Dinner was made, but piles of laundry & other things. So, yeah it's not wrong, esp at this season in life to want them to move out. However, I'd do it again & you prob would too.
Now you & Rusty are making me laugh. Thank you! Kitty bowl is on, later puppy bowl. Of course the big game. Nice dinner out yest. No date to dollar store. Another time. Hope Spring gets here soon. Going to make nacho's in a bit. Have hazelnuts roasting on wood stove in butter. House smell like cookies. Lots of popcorn. Use to do devil, eggs, cheese, meat, veggie, dips. We both enjoy quieter days now.
Which reminds me, yes like disco. Loved it in the far past. Haven't played an LP Disco for long x. I will tho. Have Donna Summers & others. What is Disco & Taco's? Think I like. Sounds fun. Great Job AG!.. Yes, sobriety~recovery is also about having fun & socializing. Love idea of reward at 15 days. I'm thinking up sumpin for my 30 days, maybe a massage. Haven't treated myself in long x. My one daughter is into yoga, hot yoga. Has recently hired a personal trainer. Not good for me now days. Like Tai Chi. Years bk tried acupunture. May try this again. Pauly, youngest daughter's primary is an ND. She's had those tests done too. Hope your tests help you with your health goals. I need to get back to an ND. Looking for a functional medicine Dr.
Rusty, your such an awesome woman!.. Full of positive strength here!.. Thank you~thank you!...You all are!.. Hope your disks in neck will not degenrate more. Have two myself. I rub tiger balm, but now prefer Arnica Cream.
Have fun with your granddaughter Skendall. She's smart. Knows to keep candy at your place. Truly, hope you get your pain resolved soon!...
Liz hope your day is everything happy!..
Hello to Red, Cowboy & everyone!...
Sorry, for the book. I'll try harder to keep it short next time.
One more tho.
Dear Nursie:
Congratulations on your 90 days! You've been a huge inspiration of strength to myself and others!.. Thank you~thank you!... You deserve this and many happy days!... Your journey is a pillar of love, courage and strength!...:welldone:

Techie - how goes it??? I don't remember where you are right now.
Glassie - still anxiously waiting for details. I might have asked earlier but don't remember.
Well - I still haven't accomplished anything today. But, I am about to clean out my purse. It is so heavy anyway and if you add all my crap to it, it must weigh 10 pounds.

SK - thanks for the tip! I will add that one to the list and try it out this week.
Nora, I don't follow any other blogs. I signed up for her motivational emails. THANKS!!
Rusty! Your photo was hilarious!!
WF, thanks for checking in here and sharing your journey. This is a GREAT THREAD and we love it that you are here with us.
I slept for 2 hours this afternoon. Hubs had to wake me up. I'm feeling fine, even went to bed early last night! I guess I was tired. Its also a good reminder that my body it still recovering from the @#$% I've been putting in it for too long.
Have a good AF week all!

Good Morning, Friends!
Happy UNHUNGOVER Monday!
Nora:hug: How sad you must be to see your Mom declining. I am NEVER EVER sorry that I asked about your Mom. I truly care, and you give me support in more ways than you know. You give me strength so I can be more patient with my Mom when she kind of treats me like a child. She doesn't mean to but it's just part of being almost 90 years old, I guess. My mom's short-term memory has gotten worse as has her hearing, and she refuses to get a hearing aid. UGH! Like you, though, we feel truly blessed.
WF-Wow, you are doing really well, and thank you so much for sharing your story with us. Your plan sounds like it is really working. GOOD FOR YOU!!!:yay:
AG-your energy comes right through to all of us....it is so wonderful to see. Oh yes, your body is catching up on sleep, and yup, it needs to recover from all that poison. Even an actiongirl needs a 2-hr. nap every now and then.
Pauly-I LOVE LOVE LOVE disco music. Ever since you mentioned that Rod Stewart song, that song has been playing in my head ever since. I even remember what he was wearing when he recorded that song. I used to be glued to M-TV. That outfit he was wearing was skin-tight. Forgot to mention...OK...I got through one whole episode of The Walking Dead. Yes, the guys are nice eye candy, but I think I'm done now. Hahahahah!!!!
Dill-WHERE ARE YOU, WOMAN???? Please join our thread. I miss you. I know you're really busy but I am so glad we are keeping in contact....I can't believe that I've "known" you for over 7 years!
Liz-how was your weekend?
Glassie! Pop in, please.
Skendall-I only take GABA at night because it makes me sleepy.
Big hellos to Nursie, Cowboy, and anyone I missed..Happy AF Monday!!

Rusty, what a great post, loved it. I hope you and Nora have a relatively stress free work week!! Yes, AG needed a lot of sleep yesterday. And ice cream!
Liz, I can't believe we talked two weeks ago today. I was SO SO DOWN, really in a fight or flight mode. You were so calm and reassuring. And compassionate.
I can't thank ALL OF YOU enough, I feel so different today. I feel hopeful about my future and my ability to keep AL out of it. My relationship with hubs is more honest and open. I am enjoying my food. I am able to remember what my sons tell me about their day and about what they need for the next day. I am spending quality one-on-one time with each of them, so precious to me. Time that is not hungover or thinking about AL, I'm just thinking about THEM.
This is not easy and its still scary, but I am grateful to be here on day 15. ONE DAY AT A TIME.
love you guys! AG
