Re: One Step at a Time - February 2017
It would be so nice to keep everything, but it’s just not possible. So keep a few things that mean the most to you, and remember, it’s just “stuff”. You still have your mom for now, and you’ll always have the memories of what that “stuff” meant. Be strong my friend, it’s just one more step in this journey we call life!

MAE, Norp this will be a difficult trip for you. Great advice from Cowboy.
Neo, the area I went to was known as Molar City! The work coming out of there is so good. One the $$$$ I decided to go big or go home so I went for 7 implants, 10 caps and It was $12,000. My face is still very swollen and I can't yawn. The biggest ad for los algodones are the return customers. They come from everywhere in the US and Canada. I don't know why they don't do narcotics. Luckily I took some Tylenol 3's that I had for
my back issues.Enlightened by MWO

Re: One Step at a Time - February 2017
Thanks for all the well wishes. Good advice from you all. There will be lots of pictures and happy memories. We are going to go thru as much stuff as we can this week. My brother plans on moving around June. So, I'll go back up around then and rent a truck for the stuff I'm keeping.
Want to hear something funny? I was laying in bed last night & had a thought. My brother has started sleeping in my parents room instead of the bedroom that he was in when my mom lived there. I asked him where he was going to sleep while we were there. He said in the master bedroom. No biggie except, I realized that he probably hasn't washed any sheets since I've been up there over a year ago!!! Not the bed he had been sleeping in, not the bed he is now sleeping in and not the sleeper couch. I had to tell him to go in & change the sheets for mom when she was living up there. This morning I texted him to please be sure to wash the sheets. I talked to him later and I asked him what his plans were for today. He said laundry apparently. :rotlf: Thank goodness that I remembered. We would have been there late tomorrow night with stinky sheets."Only I can change my life. Re: One Step at a Time - February 2017
Hey Everybody,
I just got home from spending the day with my Mom, taking her grocery shopping (never rush a soon-to-be 90-year-old) and other errands. I leave for Alabama for work on Tuesday and will be working very long days so I may not be checking in much.
Nora-:hug:The story about your brother and changing the sheets made me laugh. I thought of you this morning when I went to my mother's house and used her lower level bathroom (the guest area where my older brother stayed last week) and I walk in the bathroom, and the toilet seat is up, and uh, well his "aim" was obviously aimless. Sooooo....I cleaned the bathroom before doing my business. Oh yeah, forgot to mention there were globs of toothpaste in the sink. GROSS!
Liz-wow, Mark went business class at such a young age? Good for him!!
Congrats to Wild and AG on all your sober time!
NURSIE! Where are you?
Big hellos to all of you!

Re: One Step at a Time - February 2017
Nora-I need to exercise more self care. I have NOT been taking care of myself. I take care of everybody else...my mother, my clients, and I somehow think they are more important and I should put them first. I forego exercise many times and other fun things. This MUST change. UGH. I am exhausted today. I don't mean to whine, Nora. Your situation is WAY WAY WAY more stressful than mine. My sister takes care of my Mom 24-7 and she is taking a well-deserved vacation in SC and so I am responsible for my mom now. She is so grateful and we laugh A LOT. It's just tiring because my Mom lives 70 minutes away, driving time. I am just venting. Sorry I pissed and moaned, because my Mom is delightful. So many weekend days now I just feel like I get NOTHING done. Is it that way for you? Oh, please tell me it is. LOL

Re: One Step at a Time - February 2017
Nora-Oh God no...I was supposed to help mom make the bed today since she washed my brother's sheets but I decided to let my sister do that instead. It floors me how my Mom is so anal about making a $#$^^^ bed!! For crying out loud...do the damn sheets and blankets have to be PERFECTLY even on both sides of the bed???????????? Calgon, take me away! Hahah
Stinky sheets...Too Gross...good thing you are sober and were thinking ahead, girlfriend. LOL and Kisses to you.
Are you serious...he hasn't changed the sheets in a year??? Ewww....skid marks are a bad thing. Hahahah!
