That's great shes taking time out JC. Did lots of stints over the years and loved it but totally get where she's at. it's a great foundation for any job.. she'll figure it out.

Its an awful lot to do with Jenny being 30.........rarely gets 2 days off in a row and a weekend was rarer than hen's teeth. She's been with them from a glass collector when she was at Uni to where she is now........just wants a teeny tiny bit of normality.

Just waiting for the rain here & unusally its still very dark out.

But I have a day of today so its no bother to stay in my apartment, Something that was alien to me a few years ago, I am actually happy within myself & around myself.

Morning, off up the docs for a couple of prescriptions as the weather is foul, Mr JC giving me a lift before he goes to the office.

Just waiting for the rain here & unusally its still very dark out.

But I have a day of today so its no bother to stay in my apartment, Something that was alien to me a few years ago, I am actually happy within myself & around myself.

I was a solitary drinker and hated spending time with me (if that makes sense)...........but now a day with just the dog .............especially when the weather's crap....its a gift.......a welcome gift.

Must go.

Morning Mario & JC. 'Storm Doris' in full flow over here last night and this morning. I drank alone at home for years but I am very comfortable in my own company now without the need to alter my state of mind. You would think I was 10 years sober the way I talk. I am still trying to figure if that is a good or bad thing, good I suppose once I don't lose sight of the bigger picture.

What your feeling is what I felt ( I can only speak for me) Its like a new life we have been given & I sometimes think why didn't I get this before ? it is so like we are kids & a fantastic feeling.

Good morning everyone, Doris still blowing. Like a lot of you, was a secret drinker, taking it one day at a time Mary. Week nights are fine, weekend s more challenging as hubby enjoys glass of wine but keeping myself busy. Might get a walk in if it calms a bit later

Hello Molly dear, nothing wrong with having nothing to say. People underestimate the beauty of silence, nothing wrong with 'just being'. Especially the younger folks now with checking their phone every 3 mins.

Morning Rusty, you are doing great and it does get easier. If you do manage to get out for a walk keep away from old tall trees, wouldn't want you getting squashed.

It's amazing how the penny just drops Tabbs - some pennies drop quicker than others But drop they do ! :thumbsup:
Your narrative this time is so much more what it should be - the gratefulness for sobriety - the knowledge this is a GOOD thing not a hardship - that's the key.
The older we are I think this is much easier to accept ...... we've been there done that etc.
We realise we are missing NOTHING !!
