Re: One Step at a Time - March 2017

MAE. Pain is quite a different matter today. I know I did too much yesterday. WF I was released from the hospital yesterday. My daughter had this surgery and didn't get off the couch for a couple of days. Living alone you have to get up for bathroom, coffee, food. I also did laundry (ducking).

I got approved for my new apt. today. I just can't deal with the noise on the parkway I look out onto. New apt. has large tub, good-sized patio, more closets and a lot more sq. footage. I will move in 60 days from April 1/2017.

I remember a lot of nurses wear crocs. For the younger people they are a method of birth control, lol, but for many they are a wonderful relief for foot and back issues.

Off to pretend I'm not hungry and watch Netflix/hulu.

        Hey all!
SK sounds like you're doing ok, but maybe the laundry could wait a few more days? Don't overdue!
Maybe I should wear crocs to the wedding? Lol! I've never even tried a pair on. CJ bought me UGG moccasins for Christmas. It's getting a bit warm for the boots these days, so that's what I've been living in when I'm not at work.
WF, I love disco too! Those were the good ole days. I could actually go to a club and dance the night away. Can you believe I didn't drink back then? A Two drink minimum was way too much. What the heck happened?
Went to the movies this afternoon with a bunch of us. Saw beauty and the beast. So enjoyable. Hubby and Joe came along. It was a lovely afternoon. Erin came too and she was a bit better today. No diagnosis, I guess that it's just her pregnant.
Waves to everyone and wishing us all a great AF Saturday night

Hello everyone. SK - hope that you feel better soon. Liz - I want to see that movie. Son & DIL said it was good. Hubby & I started watching the show Humans on Amazon prime today. Good show - we're hooked. I went out to dinner yesterday evening with one of my dearest friends. We used to work together and saw each other everyday for 20+ years. She left a little over a year ago and we have a hard time connecting. It was great to see her.
Hope everyone had a Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Saturday. :welldone:

Lol, Nora. Did spell check or auto correct help you with this one?

I remember how sad you were when she left. Glad you had a nice dinner.

SK, Glad your home. Please try not to over do it. Hope they gave you RX. Please try and member to take before your pain level gets to high. Sure you know it's harder to get under control if you wait to long to take. "Ducking" Your too cute!...No worries, will toss a down feather pillow from blankie fort to help slow you down. Hope you were able to get a bite to eat. There are some decent, healthy micro meals. Maybe you don't want to bother your busy daughter. Bet she'd like to help her Mom. Crocs for youngsters. The new natural birth control. Lol...

Don't blame you on wanting peace and quiet. Glad you were approved on apt. Plus big tub and better amenities. Please pass some of your energy around. Actually, had two lg smoothies loaded with whole raw foods. Accomplished lots today. Hope you sleep well and wake in less pain...

Liz, crocs only if wedding is in the bush. lol Your moccasins sound comfy. Have one pair reg uggs and they last for many yrs and super warm and comfy. Yes, it's hard to believe you didn't drink back then. But I do believe you. Me thinks that some people are born with genetics and are alkie from get go. Then others may become that way from altering brain later from imbibing too much. Maybe brain and hormones change later too. Believe I'm in that first group, born that way.

Does Erin see cardiologist soon? Glad Erin was better today. Fab'O, the boys went to Disney movie. I hinted at hubs on wanting to see Beauty and Beast. I knew no way. Think Macho Man song. lol Will see if my busier then busy gf wants to go with her grandkids. It looks good and enjoyed original. Oh and I wondered if Nora googled spelling on callafraigalisticexpe. Can't even get half of it right. lol........

Nora, guess with the good reviews by your kids and Liz, we will have to make time to see Beauty and Beast. Don't have Amazon prime. Will look Humans show up, since you and your hubs like so much. So happy that you were able to reconnect and enjoy special time with your GF. It's hard sometimes with the busyness and different schedules folks have. So worth making it happen. Hope you receive good rest tonight. Thank you for being here for all of us!...

Hope rest of crew checks in when they have time. Hope everyone sleeps good tonight.

Hello everyone. Couldn't log in this a.m.

Not going to say I have no pain because I do. My mindset is to realize every day is a healing day, so onward.

WF, yes I did get an rx for Vicodin. It makes my memory a bit shaky. Did I tell you I had a scorpion in my bedroom? He died at my hands, you almost need a hammer.

Enjoying a beautiful day here watching Netflix, hulu and Amazon Prime.

I wish you all a beautiful day.

Skendall, why was the scorpion in your hand? Aren't they super poisonis? I am just terrified of that kind of thing and for that reason am happy I live where I do! You live in Texas now, if I remember correctly? Hubby Mark and I are going to Texas for vacation on Saturday. South Padre Island. CJ works for hilton and got us her employee discount. We couldn't agree upon anything in the Caribbean so we'll try Texas. Never been.

Techie, I agree with you, mindset is very powerful! Hope you are doing well.

WF, Erin has not been able to get an appt with a cardiologist. Her OB had the electrocardiogram report and told her it looks fine. Hopefully this will pass. Consult with an OB physicians assistant, we shall see what she says. Erin is 27 weeks now. Due June 20th.

SK, yes, pain is inevitable after surgery, let alone before. Glad you have RX. Your on your way to healing... Appreciate your great attitude!... Your spirit-presence strengthens my mind. Thank you... Glad your enjoying your beautiful day!... Especially after a creepy - critter came in your home. I'm with Liz, why were you holding it? Maybe some aren't poisonous. Read about bark scorpions.

Okay, I'm going to be honest. Yesterday was googling critters that live in AZ. Freaked myself out. Wanting to move, closer to kids. What I read: ugh, no, no, no ugh... Creeped out. If they ever came in my house may have heart attack. I'm with Liz, like where I live. Mr. W told me this am about giant bugs covering cars in N-Central USA. Now certain bugs, insects okay with. Snakes no no no... Some guy had one around his neck at grocery store. It was stretching out its head and body. Turned corner and almost ran right into its face. I panicked. Watched others reactions and many similar to mine. Reported him, sighting that snakes aren't considered service animals. Don't want to hear how they help people with seizures. Please keep them at home. They now have signs on all entry doors. With ADA guidelines and descriptions of what is legal.

Techie, seriously am going to have to practice-practice mindset regarding specific areas of my mind. Thank you teacher... Not changing mind about snakes. As a kid I liked the baby garden snakes. Now want nothing to do with lizards, snakes and certain bugs, creepy crawly, large flying types etc.. If we move to AZ won't be up against any desert Mtns.

Liz, enjoy your vacation with hubs. May you not run into creepy, freaky things. Thanks you for sharing more info about Erin. Getting different opinions is wise. Sometimes other eyes, ears see differently. In this case hope not. Think she's going to be just fine!... June is not far off. Happy days ahead!.. Have a good day..

                        Waves to everyone.... :hiya:

AG. Haven't heard from you in a bit. Is everything ok?
Rusty are you ever not busy? I think busy is good.

AG-I am so happy that things are better between you and hubs, and you have a sobriety plan in place. I am proud of you and admire you on many levels.
