Re: One Step at a Time - March 2017

Hey all,NE,thanks for sharing that,I'll be looking forward to reading the details when you're ready when I said I felt invisible it wasn't necessarily on this thread, just places I've popped into,I also think the like buttons are a bit annoying, I post sometimes on another forum and a person stormed off the site cuz she didn't get much likes for a post but these forums aren't a popularity competition but in a way they are I guess, anyways, work was a bitch yesterday, I don't know who to complain to about these girls sitting on their fat asses,on their phones while there's customers in front waiting! Its driving me absolutely nutz! Then one of the girls just did her daughters hair the whole shift, got done and had the other girl put color in her hair.... while customers waited, then went outside to smoke,I finished my haircut and left,I don't want to say anything else cuz I absolutely hate tension at work but I'm really getting pissed off,ya know when you're so mad it feels like your blood's boiling? Grrrrrrr, wish Fen would pop back in again seeing her made me remember how much I missed her and her wise but funny posts,Nora, glad you made it home safe, tell us more about the trip when you get a chance, was it emotional? Liz,glad you got that squared away and are going to the funeral, AG,you're sounding great,Rusty, hope you have a productive DAT,I hope we all do AF of course

Hello everyone. i hope everyone has a great rest of their week. Has anyone tried paraliminals as a self improvement tool? If so, I'd love your thoughts. Well, stay positive, keep busy, and be good to yourselves. You all must be. I haven't seen one post complaining of a weekday itis. xo

Techie - no itis today. :congratulatory:

              Hill - how are you!?

Pauly - i know what you mean..I wish we didn't have those likes. Makes me feel bad to like something and then not something else. I think I'm going to stop using them.
I'm sorry you are working with such unprofessionals.

Oops , break over. Waves to everyone

Re: One Step at a Time - March 2017

                  Hi all
I was reading a few posts outside my usual daily ABs and had a look here.
Ne - I applaud you for going to rehab - if its doable and affordable then its worth it I am sure. Carry the wisdom you learned and add it to your arsenal and go forward. It sounds like isolating yourself is a bad idea.
Pauly - and others - I never click on the 'like' thing. Its too haphazard -so I suggest you ignore it. People dont always respond to posts for various reasons. I am not great with typing on my phone keyboard or IPad and so I often just read only on that and leave writing until I can get to a computer.

Hi all - I'm just flopping around the board here, randomly reading so hopefully it's ok if I post here! ) Techie, I'm wondering what "paraliminals" is/are? I am searching for whatever tools I can get my grubby little hands on as far as "self improvement" (internal and external) and I have never heard this term. Do tell, please....

They are somewhat like subliminal audio tracks. Check out Learning Strategies with Paul Scheele..

Thanks for that tip Techie. Sounds like positive self hypnosis. Have a couple apps. Will ck Paul Scheele out.

Welcome to Hill.. Soucali post where ever you feel comfy.

Pauly yeah think many of us feel invisible. I too don't really care for the likes feature. Who wants to feel left out? I also thought Rusty was speaking of me. Didn't want to post here, then realized we all have times where we need to talk about self. Normal in all relationships. However, I realized even if I was presuming it was all about me that's this isn't a rationale truth. In general I'm a helpful supportive person. Even if someone else doesn't think so. Over the years of reading here don't member any members continuing to be all self consuming. Read a mixture of balanced posts. So not sure why this was mentioned?

Rusty, sorry to hear of your truck and fridge causing problems. Wished money grew on tree's . Sometimes it pours when it rains. Hope this will be the last of break downs for a while for you!... Not sure if your able to tele -conference with your clients. Be safe in your travels.

Nora, glad your home safe and that you all made headway. You must be exhausted. Sorry you didn't get to see it snow. I love it and find such beauty and peacefulness in snow. Except when having to drive long distance.

Liz, so very sorry about your family friends passing! We never know when it's our time. Prayers... Glad you were able to work things out at work so you may attend his funeral.

AG, marriage can be a roller coaster ride at times. Glad your hubs made some progress in communication. Have some non-negotiables set up in ours.

Ne, had lurked over on your meds site and was concerned not seeing you post. Glad your Ok!... Have followed your progress here at MWO and over on new site. I too have thought of in patient re-hab and won't rule it out if needed in future. Happy to read you went and our back here being supported and supporting others. Will read when you have time to write.

SK, another couple wks before your surgeries, member there going to be two wks apart. Hope the driver who hit you had car Ins. Truly sorry for all your pain and Dr's not reading MRI's correctly. Ugh.. Hope your dental implants continue to heal and bring and add to your beautiful smile. I hear your smile in your posts. Thank you for being here and showing us we can do this. Thank you to everyone really!..

Feel I'm forgetting someone. Really am sorry as it's not my intention to leave any one out!..

Still sober. Helped a client yesterday with appt, then her hair and a meal. She's such a sweetheart. Am so grateful for my lifelong friend who has had her business for 25 yrs. She employees me. Understands my chronic illness and is flexible.

Hope everyone's wk will be as hopeful and positive as possible. I'll try and pop in when I can. Love to all!... :heartbeat:

Re: One Step at a Time - March 2017

Wildflowers-I was referring to someone who posted DAILY on here for years..
And NEVER asked asked about anyone else here.

OMG I cannot believe that a few people here actually thought I was talking about them when I thought it was pretty obvious whom I was referring to. If you go back and read my post, you will see that I was referring to someone who USED to post here.

Don't feel like you have to ask about EVERYONE when you post ...we all know it's not possible. I don't ask about everyone on the thread every time, but I am interested and I do care. Everybody on this thread really does care and if you make a post all about you, then I have no problem with that all. We all need a place to vent.

I think my original post was taken out of context so I wanted to clarify that.
