Re: One Step at a Time - March 2017

Liz - hope you have a wonderful day. I laughed at the how to spell Wilson.

Rusty - are you just standing there staring at your new fridge? :rotlf: I get so excited when I get a new appliance.

I texted with Pauly. She is doing ok. Needed a break for a couple of days. She will be back tomorrow but wanted me to tell everyone that she is ok

I hope that everyone is having a relaxing day. :heartbeat:

Nora, thanks for the update on Pauly! Lol, I thought I was the only one to get excited about a new appliance!

Hi folks. Finished in just under five hours. Totally wasted, kind of sick actually. Getting electrolytes then rest. I think I may just stick to shorter events going forward. xoxo

Re: One Step at a Time - March 2017

Liz, such good news about your daughter, baby and family. Enjoy your b-day dinner with your Dad.

Techie, big congrats to you. Hope you get some good rest. Hard sometimes excepting that slowing down, may be best.

Nora, thank you for updating us about Pauly. There are times we may all need a break from forum activity. Glad she's okay! Hope your enjoying your Sunday. Oh & ankle badly sprained twice since last July with hardware from previous brake. If I'm to be glad about gout, (NOT) it's in this same foot (big toe). RX is helping. Nasty SE's. See specialist this month. Glad my other ft works properly. Some days wished I was made of foam rubber. lol

Rusty, laughed to about new appliances bringing happiness. I love the look of stainless steel. Don't like all the spots, smudges etc. Some brand (don't member) makes a brushed one that is suppose to be smudge free. You may be excited to grocery shop. Hope your wknd is happy!...

AG, sounds like you've had a great wknd shopping for sports equipment. Your kids age is a fun time. Also can be challenging. Through the years have heard boys are harder at a young age and girls harder during teens. I don't know for sure as we had two girls. Yes, there were some trying times. Kept them busy in extracurricular activities. May have helped ward off some potentially dangerous calamities. Along with other positivities. Our youngest is 29. Both are kind, smart, responsible and funny. Next week hopefully, you'll get back to your exercise regimen and possibly less hectic work wk.

Waves to everyone else on this sunny day. :heartbeat:

Nora, I miss you lady. I'm finally in a place where I am not fighting against myself anymore. If I drink again, I am risking everything and I don't want to do that.

Wildflowers, yes, such fond memories of posting together early on! We definitely bonded! I ordered my seeds too and I can't wait to plant them. My dad used to keep bees at our farm. It was a wonderful way to take care of them and we loved growing fields of wild flowers for them.

Rusty, I miss you too! I will definitely post over here more often! I have missed this thread.

Techie, you bad ass! So proud of you. I hope you sleep soundly and then have a restorative few days after.
              Day 1 again 11/5/19
              Goal 1: 7 days :heartbeat:
              Goal 2: 14 days :happy2:

11/27/19: messed up but back on track
12/14/19: bad doozy but back on track

Hi Nursie, I found the above words really interesting. If you are comfortable, pleases share more, especially about fighting against yourself. I think I know what you mean, but I'm curious.

Techie, I second Nursie's comment. Whew! That is a lot of miles in 5 hours. Great job.

I told hubs that he had to plan this Sunday's family outing. After some pouting and spouting, which I didn't listen to, he agreed. We had a fabulous day, lunch at a fish & chips place and a trip to a local museum. He did great. (And I learned that I need to just TELL HIM WHAT I WANT HIM TO DO, instead of either hinting around OR backing off at the slightest resistance from him and drowning that resentment in wine.) Sorry for the yelling :egad: I am sick of planning everything and then having to rally everyone to do it. Nope, I'm done with that, we can all take turns.

Part venting, part victory speech, but that's how I feel tonight.

Have a great un-hungover Monday and I will too. Onward!

Nursie like AG, I love what you said! I do hope you visit us here more often!

AG, good for you for taking a stand! I'm glad you did and that things worked out. It sounds like a lovely day. I learned a long time ago to let hubby know what I need and want. It just helps us both. Of course it works both ways!

I am extremely anxious today. Erin is back in school and the dizzy spells continue. They seem to only happen in the morning and I'm praying she makes it through the morning. I hope her school is supportive and helps her through this. I fear they may put her on disability.

Wishing us all a happy, sober, uneventful Monday!

Hi Liz, thanks for the update although I wish it was better. Does she teach or is she a student? Either way, that is no fun. I hope she feels better real soon. Take care - AG

Morning all. Peggy, who usually wants out between 6:00a.m. and 7:30 a.m. is still sleeping at 10:23! I think I pushed her too hard yesterday.

Liz, glad to hear Erin is on the mend? Why do you think they will put her on disability?

My daughter ran the Dallas marathon yesterday, haven't checked her time though and it was pretty hot yesterday - 84. Congratulations to Techie!

I look forward to Pauly coming back.

Nursie, love it, love it when you drop in and great to hear you don't need to fight any more. How great that you planted wildflowers for the bees.

                        Ag, good for you.

WF, hate that you have gout. What are the side effects of your RX?

Liz, I've had really bad dizzy spells since the accident so I can sympathize with Erin.

Rusty. enjoy your fridge. I have one too and it does show smudges but the white and black ones did too.

Liz, hope they get to the bottom of this soon. Don't know if the baby's pressure may be weighing down on main vein, causing not enough blood for mama's brain. This is all so concerning. Praying for quick resolve. Hope your daughter won't be on 24 hr bed rest.

Nursie, have followed your journey, even while lurking. You are such a beautiful, strong and giving person. So very happy that you aren't fighting self anymore. My hubs grew up on a homestead. FIL was also a bee keeper. Bees are just amazing. Have taken propolis, pollen. Royal jelly is too expensive, but have read of the amazing health benefits esp for athletes. Try to purchase only local raw honey for allergies. Plenty here with all the trees, shrubs, rain etc. Have fun planting your seeds. Need to pick mine up soon. Miss my big patch of wildflowers. Long story..

AG, glad you had fun with hubby this wknd. Understand we often need to let them know our desires. It gets tiring being the one who plans and executes nearly everything. Still's happening here. Tho he's become better. Had to put foot down, well basically not do it. Girls both played musical instruments. Not any longer. Sold piano and clarinet. Felt it helped them in other studies.

Rusty, where are you today. Are you flying out this wk? Did you fill your new fridge with goodies?

Nora, hope your week will be smooth. Any new info on kids moving out?

Ne, hope your doing well. Thinking of you....

Pauly, when ever your ready, we all look forward to your return. You can do this!..

Sk, poor little peggy. Mama wore her out. Animals are like that. Sleep a lot one day. Next all play. Sorta like us. huh.. RX, symptoms, bad headaches, neck ache, stomach, fuzzy head. Haven't been able to take 3xd. Two times and all this. It's helped. Can walk without aids. Focusing on removing uric acid. Thank you for asking. Hope your day is going well. Need to read back your surgery dates.

Techie, very smart of you to rest and recuperate. Emphasizing, how much the body needs time to rest and rebuild. Hope you feel better soon.

                            Waves to everyone. :heartbeat:

                                Evening all.
Skendall, you probably did wear Peggy out! That's so cute. May I ask what you do about your dizzy spells? Erin had a better day today. They can't figure out why she gets them.

WF, what you say about pressure on a major vein, makes a whole lot of sense to me. Probably nothing to be done about that.

AG, Erin is a math teacher at a high school. She couldn't make it across the school on Friday to get from one class to another.

Techie, glad you are home. Rest up, hope your feeling better!
Hope everyone is enjoying an AF Monday night. Happy Spring!
