Morning folks, crispy grass but sunny here. Off to work soon myself, hope it keeps dry so I can get out at lunchtime. I feel a bit like a slower Forrest Gump, just walking my troubles away.Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?Comment

Jackie... did you go cold turkey with the ciggies or are you using patches...just interested to know as I'm just thinking about it at the moment as not drinking has resulted in me naturally cutting back (fag withe a glass of wine used to be the norm)...Comment

JC suffering a little - but will be worth it.

Well done JC.. your probably over a major hump now..was it easier today with work to distract you?
I gave up smoking a decade before the booze. It's great how you can be so open about giving up smoking and the support everyone gives. Giving up booze is still frowned upon, in my experience - people are suspicious and actively encouraging 'just a small one'! Imagine someone suggesting JC has a sneaky cigerrette - no one would!

Got an amazing story from work.........
Older bloke came into reception for a look round and we had a sit on the settees for a bit of a natter. Both of us talking about our recovery............he's got over 36 years......he also mentioned that he went to most of his meetings over the other side of the river...............I said that was where my Dad used to go over there 30/40 years ago. Anyway turns out my Dad was his sponsor for a while.........I got all teary but in a nice way.
Now for a read back.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Tony, I'm on champix.........but I've got to be really careful because I also take anti-depressants. I've also sign up for the NHS text service which sends a text a 2 or 3 times a day with a jolly little encouraging message..............depending on your mood it'll give you a little lift or mood I was in yesterday I wanted to stomp up and down it.
Got one of those nicotine sprays but rarely use it............its a right faff on.It could be worse, I could be filing.
