Late check in.
Mother fell again & hit her head. Luckily MrS was there doing her garden.
I didn't go up this time but held fast and let one of my siblings who live beside her call in and review the situation.
Bingo ! My niece is staying over to keep an eye on her.
The penny is dropping that she needs attention.
Nearly time for the rota?

Re: Join the Army Agarinst Alcohol ..............Mad March 2017
Morning all.
Hope your mammy is ok Satzy. Defo get a rota. If there are hands there they need to help. My bro lived quite far away from my mum and I did most of the caring. My brother only recently knew how difficult it was for me I did not tell him to make him feel guilty we were just talking about things that happened that he never knew. He constantly feels guilty about it and that is NOT what I want for him. I think I never told him stuff to protect him or simply because I did not want to go over things that could not be changed. Anyhow, things like this should be shared to help all of you x
Off to Crufts tomorrow for the day. Really looking forward to it. I can imagine I will come back with all sorts of lovely stuff for my doggers and probably spend a fortune :haha: Got the go ahead from Mr S to buy what I like
I am a bit concerned about Mr G. He does tend to sink a bit into depression but he will be back I am sure. If you are reading Mr G give us a wave x

Love Crufts, but my favourite never wins.
Mr G's been gone too long this time, wish he'd poke his nose in.
Gotta dash as I'm picking up a couple of prescriptions and then would you believe I'm seeing my smoking cessation lady.................last ciggie was 7 hours and 43 minutes ............I don't know what to do with my hands. I am taking Champix so not so much cravings.
I'll not be long.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Enjoy your day at cruffs starts, Will you win anything, well not you , Your lovely dog...
Jc that place sounds great, I find places that use the 12 step as a base to be always a good steeping stone to spring you onto other ways out if complete 12 steps is not for you, Even though all my recovery hasn't been AA it sure has and does still help me.
Satz that's a hard one ok, my mother is in her 80,s & thankfully my sisters live close by & drop in everyday, I wouldn't be able for it to be honest, selfish Mario here....But she is going to china in may for 3 weeks holiday :-0 happy days.
Enjoy your day rusty ;-)

Yea I do wonder about Mr G , I do hope he is ok but I doubt it, It does go to show that while we all might type here behind an anonymous keyboard about everything being great & rosy in the garden, The reality is not always the case, That's why imo going to fellowships with real people is very important, You cant hide the emotions.

Originally posted by mollykadeffo a rota Benjy - and even then - keep an eye on equality in the rota -- two of us used to exclude ourselves for our working hours from the rota but volunteer for the nights/weekends - the other one who was retired excused herself daily to play golf --- caused a lot of bad feeling considering mum needed 24/7 care for years#
off to work - 3 days Jackie and you'll be on the pigs back
right -- laters lads x

Said he wanted away from forums for a while.
He knows the score on this AF struggle ..... he will be back soon.
He was very kind when young Satz was in Oz - and I haven't forgotten that.Last edited by satz123; March 10, 2017, 07:13 AM.
