Happy Easter folks. Looking for those eggs JC was hurting my brain until I realised there were 5 big ones....err maybe?

So one of my friends has a holiday villa in the mountains in Northern Spain and four of us are heading over there for a long weekend in a few weeks time. Now a couple of these lads really like to drink and I haven't spoken to them yet regarding my new sober self. I suppose it is putting myself in harms way somewhat because a fair bit of time in their company is normally spent in the local watering holes, with me as the main instigator if truth were told. But I feel strong enough right now and I can't live in a shell socially or exclude myself from things just because AL is involved. I am looking forward to the rest of the trip which I imagine I will really enjoy so I have agreed to go, I know only too well however that I just need to be very careful.
I totally agree with Mario, Tabbers (a.k.a. KTAB) I have used excuses in the past, such as medication meaning I can't drink (actually that's true because of Antabuse!) but now I can't be arsed with making excuses and I just say, if offered a drink, "I'll just have an apple juice, thanks" and if some one then pushes it I tell them I can't because if I have just one I'll drink the bar dry!!! Use an excuse, or tell it like it is, it doesn't matter but as Mario says, get it in there up front....and have a GREAT weekend!

It's the first time I've tried your advice about putting images in...all I got was the thumb-nail - any advice on how to make it bigger?

Anyway - just going to blow my own trumpet for a minute, if you'll all excuse me...

Apart from a festival weekend in September, when 10's of thousands of people visit our village, this has been the busiest weekend EVER in our restaurant. Mrs T has been away (back tonight) and I've been running the joint and on Saturday I was chef...I did the biggest number of covers I have ever done anywhere in my entire life....and I did it sober. I COULD NOT HAVE COPED if I was drinking.

Even the staff commented on how well it all went without Mr Shiraz joining the party!!!

So, I'm really pleased with myself and Mrs T is over the moon...Happy days!

We enjoyed a wonderful Easter with dear friends - lots of craic and good food to boot. Can't ask for more than that! Grateful.com

There’s probably another member who has an easy answer to the picture size issue tonyniceday but I’ll try and explain what I know. If you post any pic from your hard drive it will come up as a thumbnail. I haven’t found a way around it, but I’ve never tried changing the image uploading settings in your “Settings” area either. That may or may not solve the issue.

You can use a website like imgflip.com to customize a graphic and then post it full size.
You can customize a graphic on your computer, then upload to a hosting service like photobucket, then link back to it to get the customized graphic to show full size.

Or you can do it the lazy way like I do, Google whatever graphic you want, I can usually (but not always) find exactly what I’m looking for. I then copy the URL of the image and paste it in the URL box of the image uploading button on the top of the reply box.

Anytime you use the URL function in the image uploading button, be sure to uncheck the “Retrieve remote file and reference locally” or else it will just show up as a thumbnail.

In the “More Forum Links” section down at the bottom, there is a Testbed thread to go and practice with anything you want to try out. Hope this helps a bit.

Lovely to see Stirly popping in to see us.

Back to work today, hoping it won't be too busy, I need to ease myself back in slowly after a whole week off.
Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?
