Re: Join the Army Against Alcohol - April 2017

A wave hello from the other side of the pond. Back to fight this another round. Yep, tired of wasting all my time. Wasted at night, and no inclination to do anything the next day. Life just becomes blah, nothing. I want to live it again.

Lovely to see you back having another bash at this,Mr V.

Try.......no........ I mean get into the habit of checking in twice a day. You never know when something useful will catch your eye or you just need to say hello and get a hello back.............its ever such a lonely occupation being an alcoholic. Its nice to know there's people out there.

The plan you had before..........will you be trying it again.........or starting a new one.

Just for now minute by minute, hour by hour.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Morning Mario, off to the doctors this morning I am for the big check up that I have been putting off forever. Well its a visit to the nurse first for bloods and stuff so keeping my fingers crossed for my poor abused liver.
Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

Good morning gentlefolk and to those we haven't seen for a while.........Molly and Starty spring to mind.

Been and had a sunbed, cutting down to just once a week as I no longer look like a ghost. Got some wasbabi peas while I was out.......crikey they don't half make your eyes water but prolly healthier than a custard doughnut.

I'd lay odds on you'll be fine, Tabbers.

Hi everyone. Bet you look amazing JC. Your goodness must always shine through, you have a kind word for everyone. Good luck Tabs, I am planning to do the same, just trying to physche myself up. Just got home from holidays yesterday. Amazing 9 days weather wise, sun shone the whole time. Climbed the mountain and did not find it too bad but I had gone on a good few long hikes the past month or two. Very chuffed with myself. Need to read back, hope everyone is doing ok.

Welcome home, Russy, and thank you so much for the kind words.

I cleared my wardrobe in our bedroom out this morning and must have put half of my clothes and shoes into charity bags.........I'm ashamed to say half of the stuff has either been worn once or never worn at all...........and the shoes. I do not or have never needed a pair of brown stilettos...... why the feck would I buy them :egad:

Mr JC's next door watching the footie. Tonight's the night Newcastle might just go back into the premiership.

Quitting and staying quit isn't easy, its learning a whole new way of thinking. It's accepting a new way of life, and not just accepting it, embracing it...
Worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Just get through today. Tomorrow will look after itself when it becomes today, because today is all we have to think about.
Friendship is not about how many friends you have or who you've known the longest. It's about who walked into your life, said "I'm here for you", and proved it.

Jc doing a sunbed to take the whiteness of you is good, but do you know that Asian folks try to do the exact opposite & try to get white, ie Japan, China, Thailand etc Strange world we live in.
