WF - Great job on working thru the cravings. I know what you mean about joking about the bottle. Not really a joke in Nora land either.

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2017
Nora, thanks so much for starting April's ~ One Step at a Time Thread. Prefer to wait for our leader in starting new monthly threads. Haven't found all these wonderful one step at a time images either. You do a great job of finding them. Thanks again for taking the time to do this and for reminding us it really is one step at a time. I can get in a hurry and impatient at times. These reminders really do help. Hope your feeling a little or even lots better, or anywhere in-between.

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2017
Nora,Kell's fine, its a simple procedure but I hafta take her cuz they knock her out when they do it and she feels weird after, was gonna start a thread but I like when you start it cuz we get an inspiring picture WF,I'm an absolute firm believer in PAWS and milestone triggers,I've read too many recovery specialists,my own personal doctor, plus rehabs speak about milestone triggers,, no excuses for drinking just something to be aware of,that's why I don't like to count but I've learned that I need to keep a "loose count" cuz if I'd have been aware of a couple of things before I drank last I could've been more focused on what was up,SK,hope you're feeling OK,Liz,hope you're enjoying yourself, waves to all- just ordered pizza and I'm way to excited than I should beI have too much shit to do today and tomorrow to drink:sohappy:
I'm taking care of the "tomorrow me"
Drinkin won't help a damn thing! Will only make me sick for DAYS and that ugly, spacey dumb feeling-no thanks!

Pauly - thanks for the update. I never know what day I am on - but I know the start date and can calculate when I need to. I know that I did have issues at certain times and it helped to know it. So, I think that's a great idea to keep a loose count.
Son went & picked up food for us a few minutes ago. Mexican food and I pigged out. :rotlf:"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2017
Pauly, cross post. Sure hope your poor daughter doesn't suffer chronic pain!... Whatever Dr is doing, it must be bad to have to knock her out. Back pain issues can be serious. Hope she feels better soon!... Your a really wonderful Mom and Nana!... From other day, about dessert. Yeah all those noises will freak out pets. Some of us humans too. One daughter when she moved would get nose bleeds for a few months. Dry air and dust, think.
Thanks for your understanding PAWS and milestones can be triggers. Some don't believe. Oh well. Not counting days, but know when the monthly date is. Hoping to keep this one. May not see my 55th. Enjoy your pizza. Giggled on your excitement. Think I've mentioned its a fave of mine. Don't want to eat healthy and clean all the time. Think I've read that food is part of brains reward-dopamine system.
Mr WF is snoring in his chair. May have to wake him for basketball games. Did anyone see "Little Itty Bitty's" great shot last night ? She took out Huskies 111- th game winning streak. Her story is pretty cool with her coach to. Losing her Dad three yrs ago. Mr WF is a big sports fan and I've learned to enjoy (for most part) sports - sports - sports. He does ask often to watch other things together. Have a good AF night.

Re: One Step at a Time - April 2017
So good to hear your feeling better Nora!... Thankful, these days pass. Love Mexican food too. Who doesn't? Well prob some folks. Self confessed cheese addict here. Have leftovers, but were going to eat popcorn for dinner. Storing new food in containers for next wk soon. Just some white chile in crockpot, baked chk and cut up veggies and fruit. Was bad when ran up to store am and bought donuts. Didn't eat one, Mr WF did. Will have mine tom with coffee.
Soaking up Vitamin D and relaxing in sun is good. Sorry your poor arm got sunburned!. We keep trying to use sunscreen, but forget. Not good as Mr WF has had skin cancer. Not super scary kind. Basal cell. Still he had to have Moh's surgery then a plastic skin flap pull, to cover hole in temple area. In same day. Few yrs bk. Grossed me out a bit. Finally, getting him to dermatologist this month. He has a similar looking thing on his upper arm. He's so stubborn worse then me, if that's possible. I usually burn once then tan. My skin is olive color. One daughter is very fair skinned and worry when she is tanning outside. UV and rays think have become more dangerous with time.
Is that your coloring book Nora? When to art store, twice past month, forgot again to buy mine. You and think Liz recommended. Must write everything down.Last edited by Wildflowers; April 1, 2017, 05:21 PM.

She's a maltipoo. 10 years old - my baby. Almost blind, hard for her to walk with her back legs. But, I'll come home from work and she'll grab a toy and run around in a circle in front of me. So excited that Mommy is home."Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me.".....Carol Burnett

Nora, ah...... poor baby!... Animals are so amazing!.. There love is so unconditional!.. So very giving, even when they don't feel well, they just keep giving us lots of love!.. My heart, my mind members. Think a Maltipoo is a mix of poodle and malitese? Molly is super adorbs!...
Have been sleeping with our labs ashes by our bed for 6.5 yrs. Were going to spread his ashes at the river this summer. It's time... Thanks again for sharing... :heartbeat: Enjoy your Molly!...
